The so-called fact checkers at the far-left Washington Post are liars. Straight-up liars. Because here is what Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama actually said in favor of gun confiscation:

Couple of decades ago, Australia had a mass shooting, similar to Columbine or Newtown. And Australia just said, well, that’s it, we’re not doing, we’re not seeing that again, and basically imposed very severe, tough gun laws, and they haven’t had a mass shooting since. Our levels of gun violence are off the charts. There’s no advanced, developed country that would put up with this.
Barack Obama, June 2015:
When Australia had a mass killing – I think it was in Tasmania – about 25 years ago, it was just so shocking the entire country said ‘well we’re going to completely change our gun laws’, and they did. And it hasn’t happened since.

On this Hillary/Obama are NOT lying. You’ll get to keep your guns, and your ammo...no one will come. But you sure as HELL better not get caught with either, as you’ll be looking at felony charges. Something to think about when a guy is breaking into your house.

It will be a war of ATTRITION - how many gun owners will be willing to say “from my cold, dead, hands” only to have their guns pried from their “cold, dead, hands”. Most owners will GET THE MESSAGE from the feds, and the few that don’t will be easy enough for them to deal with.
I saw unsophisticated forces use crude explosive devices and other methods hammer modern armored weapons to junk in the Middle Eastern theatre of operations.

Actually, it does...or they’ll just ‘wait out’ the ‘troublemakers’, as they will no longer have any political power.
Ever wonder why there were not ANY troublemakers in Australia, UK, or Canada when they came for the guns - NONE! Not even minor skirmish. While I do think the fighting spirit of Americans is superior to them, it would sure be nice to find at least a handful of people out of their 100 Million, willing to fight back...but none did.
So don’t get your hopes up...

No need - they’ll just make the stakes of continued ownership (i.e., resisting) SO HIGH that few will hold out - and those few won’t be able to amount to any significant resistance.
True - never say never. My point here is that the Left knows us probably better than we know ourselves (after all, half the people here think they’ll simply don their camo’s and run into the streets to ‘take out’ the feds, should that day come).
They will simply continue to ‘warm the pot’, until it’s too late for us to jump out and fight back. That simple.
The leftists can disarm several dozen, perhaps even several hundred, law-abiding Americans at will. However, after those first victims, the discussions will be held at 2700 fps. Those interactions will also, most likely, come to those who want decent Americans disarmed, rather than being held at 3:00 am in the homes of normal Americans who thought they could sleep safely in their own homes.
I am not looking forward to this, nor am I advocating any specific action if our government goes off the rails and tries gun grabbing. I am just predicting the outcome of such a constitutional catastrophe.
You really don't understand how few of them there are and how many of us there are.
It looks impressive when they swoop down on ONE house.
When they try to do more then three it looks less impressive and they have to call in help from other areas.
So, who is going to be doing the confiscating in those other areas?
Do you think they are going to go house to house and people are going to be meekly waiting for them?
They can't even round up comparatively very small gangs who can't shoot for beans.
And if they can't handle the Crips and Bloods they can not handle us.
“They” won’t be coming to confiscate anything.
They will, through regulation, and selective exemplary punishment, make your shooting life impossible.
Not really there are those on the right and in positions of authority who are miles ahead of the left who can take them out fast should this scenario evolve. They can also and likely form a faction that wi lead an organized conflict.

Somewhere between the signing of such a law and the ink drying, CWII would break out, and the tyrants would instantly lose.
No need to concern yourself about planning and implementation of such legislation.
It does not take alot to do what I told you. And our people who could do this have superior skills to that ovsrsees. Once something like this starts it will take on a life of its own and grow rapidly. America is a lot like the Balkans a powder keg which will explode.

There is NO basis for such assertions.
There would be YEARS of constitutional challenges.
In the first place, for most of the U.S. there is no gun registration, so they don’t know who has them.
Most gun owners are NOT compliant wimps.
There are over 100 Million gun owners and the gov’t isn’t going door to door to search for 70 to 80 Million holdouts.
No I don’t. It can happen anywhere. America is big and just think about the cities.
The Iraqis and Afghans seem to have found a way to deal with FLIR-equipped teams and armored MRAPS.
Do you really think “we” can’t do just as well?
