GOP senator: Justice Kennedy is going to retire this summer

Sen. Dean Heller (R-Nev.) said in a speech last week he believes Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy will retire this summer, according to audio of the speech obtained by Politico.
Kennedy is going to retire around sometime early summer, Heller said in the speech, according to Politico. Which Im hoping will get our base a little motivated because right now theyre not very motivated. But I think a new Supreme Court justice will get them motivated.
Heller is facing a tough GOP primary ahead of the 2018 midterms as Las Vegas businessman Danny Tarkanian challenges Heller for the Republican nomination.

I think that Ted Cruz could be a good justice. However, I don’t think he’d get pass Senate confirmation. He’s made a few too many enemies on both sides of the aisle. He can be effectively ostracized in the Senate, not so on the USSC, so his enemies would probably take one for the team and keep him as their ‘problem.’

Roy Moore was unavoidable. Were that stupid. FReepers will continue to besmirch that good man's name until Christ returns, won't you? _THIS_ is a big part of why I despise both the Republican and Democrat parties: both of them would rather elect a Demonrat than a Christian.

If Ted Cruz is a natural born citizen, then so are Anwar Al-Awlaki’s kids born in Yemen to one American citizen parent.
I’d rather not have him making that decision.

Good points.
During the transition period I was really hoping for Solicitor General for Cruz. Like him or hate him he would have been excellent in that position.

Don’t know, don’t care. He’s a pro-Amnesty Never Trumper, that’s all I care about. He needs to be replaced with a Trump Republican.

The Supreme Court and gun rights were my primary reason for voting for Trump, though he’s giving indications of being a bit wobbly on the latter.

I lived in MA in 1965-1966. Very pleasant sojourn. Walked into Chicopee chief of police’s office and asked for a concealed weapon permit. He said sure just fill out this form. Oh and be sure to keep it concealed.I still have that ticket. MA people were nice and food outstanding. Damn shame it has turned to shit over the years.

I know Chicopee well...but I know Boston,Cambridge,Brookline,Newton and other nearby towns even better.*They* are the reason that the Gay State has become a Marxist $hithole.I guess you can blame the left having seized control of Harvard,Boston University (and U Mass).
