My smart money says this guy is an illegal alien....Jerry Brown, Gavin Newsome, Xavier Becarra and Kamala Harris to sing his praise by the middle of the week.
Pomona? That is a Mexican town. Heavy Mexican gang presence there, and has been for years. It was a hellhole in the 1970s, and I can only imagine it is worse today.
Just shoot him the head and be done with it...

My memories of Pomona are limited to visits to the L.A. County Fair in the early 50s. I remember enclosures filled with rattlesnakes that you could peer into. Nowadays you couldn’t have them because you’d worry someone would drop their kid into it.

Tragic. Most likely an illegal and/or ‘banger, although he didn’t appear to have any ink. One question though, having dealt with law enforcement for 25 years and having a sibling who is an active 25 year LEO, my sibling’s first question is ‘Why were the officers standing in front of the door of a fleeing, barricaded suspect?’ if the preliminary reports are correct. He has noticed a disturbing decline in adequate training among officers resulting in safety issues for both officers and the public.
Totally agree. As Military Police we were instructed in prudence. I noted, and commented to my wife your sibling’s first question myself.
