New York Times Celebrates Trump Hater Who Blockaded News From His Mind
Newsbusters ^ | March 11, 2018 | P.J. Gladnick

I'm gonna wash that man right out of my mind...

Many liberals woke up on the morning of November 9 in a state of extreme shock when they found out that the impossible happened...Donald J. Trump had been elected the 45th president of the United States. As we have seen in the many entertaining post-election videos, many reacted with shock, fury, or extreme sadness. However, one of the Trump haters acted in a very unique fashion, he blockaded not only all news about Donald Trump; but, in fact, all news of the outside world from his mind.

His name is Erik Hagerman and since he lives alone in the Ohio countryside, he has managed since Election Day 2016 to avoid all news of the outside world in order to not hear anything about the president he hates. New York Times reporter Sam Dolnick wrote about this man who is blockading the outside world in his adulatory March 10 article, The Man Who Knew Too Little:

Well, while I didn’t go this far, I NEVER watched any speech given by The Rapist, or more recently, The Marxist, while they occupied 1600 PA avenue ...

... during The Marxist’s second term I tuned out on news completely ... until DJT announced he was running ... ;>)

So I can understand where this dude is coming from ... it would be a great thing for his mental health (as it was for mine), if his little “exercise” helped him to the realization that:

a. Life is NOT “all political”, and in fact

b. 99% of life is meant to be lived and enjoyed without ANY connection or reference to politics ...

The funny thing is that by not allowing that “any photon of Trump would turn me to dust” this clown has allowed Trump to completely upend his life and turn him into a hermit.

This form of fake news, where some snowflake cries and tells us how awful President Trump is.

Seems to be their only fake news since their Russia/Russia B$ is basically down the sewer.

Just wait until he has to experience not only Trump’s second term but then, having Pence become President.

Amen to that.

I felt the same way when Obama was elected.

Hence the lack of outrage while Obama and his unofficial henchmen were killing Christians across the middle east.

http://www.conservapedia.com/Walter_Duranty Well, making this man who blockaded the truth about the Soviet Union under Stalin proud in the NYT tradition, eh?

One of the most popular radio stations here during the Clinton years was a country-radio station that promised it would never refer to Bill or Hillary Clinton and declared itself a “Clinton Free Zone.” That was the station all the military folks listened to.

"Can I check the news now, Sam?"
"Pence just elected. Back into your clamshell."

11/8/28
"Now Sam?"
"Nope."

11/3/32
"Surely it must be okay now, Sam?"
"President Loesch just elected."
"Who?"
"You don't want to know. Get back to me in 2040."

Hagerman should gouge out his own eyes lest he see anything TRUMP. Then maybe I’ll take him seriously.

Totally agreed. Politics can get very stressful and frustrating to follow.

Think what a horror it would be for them if we can clone. Imagine President Donald Trump the 80,000th.

I am in favor of this. The NYT and every major Newspaper/Network/Media outlet MUST DEMAND that the entire public BLOCKADE any and all Main Stream Media NEWS.

I turned off the news back in the early eighties, for lots of reasons, i.e. Dan Rather, 60 minutes phony car fire, a Journalist professor saying how they would change the world. After many years on international business, and testing 1300 people on their management style, I know now why you will never be able to trust Journalists, or politicians, entertainers. they get their ego satisfaction out of influencing and controlling people. That defines the left, who have destroyed all civilizations throughout history.

BTY, Trump is a results oriented person who is driven be getting things done.

That’s okay.

I’ve been blockading NYT from my mind since, oh, 1974.

(I was always precocious, conservatively speaking.)

I wanted to give the guy the benefit of the doubt, because I cut myself off from television, news papers, magazines, etc. in the late nineties, and during the last eight year term of Obama, I never, ever once watched or listened to a speech from him. I doubt I heard more than one sentence at a time from him.

But I did not, and never have made myself ignorant of what is going on around me. I just choose not to allow myself to absorb the unfiltered output from the leftist media.

If this guy had to cut him off to survive mentally, he likely has a boatload of people on the left who should do so as well, because I believe a lot of them are becoming unhinged.

And the woman with the little voodoo doll or whatever it is in her purse? She is mentally ill no question.

That said, I loved the fictional exchange in the article:
*******************************************************

Sam Dolnick shows up at the door of Erik Hagerman’s remote Ohio home on the morning of November 4, 2020.

DOLNICK: Erik, I have good news and I have bad news for you.

HAGERMAN: What’s the good news?

DOLNICK: I can tell you who won the presidential election yesterday.

(Extreme relief floods Hagerman’s face.)

HAGERMAN: So, um, what’s the bad news?

DOLNICK: I won’t be able to tell you until January 20, 2025.
