Personally, I watched Senator Sessions live fight the repeated attempts at Shamnesty against all odds.
I marveled at his guts in the face of seemingly impossible odds as the forces arrayed against Americans seemed inevitable to have Shamnesty passed.
I’ve held him in the highest esteem since. He is a great American. What he’s doing now on behalf of this Republic earns him my eternal respect all the more.

Nobody said Sessions is not honorable. Try to focus and understand what some of us are saying.
To repeat, the DC swamp is humongous, and can not be drained by an old, low energy, bureaucratic senator type like Sessions. He has been there for over a year as AG, and what swamp draining has he accomplished?
The OPR report FORCED Sessions to fire McCabe, and Sessions waited till the last minute to summon up the courage.
We need a firebrand AG with fire in the belly, not an old low energy bureaucratic person who recused himself very quickly from Russia investigation.
Sessions should retire graciously before getting fired via a Tweet.
His “legal forte” is glacially slow to make any significant dent in the humongous DC swamp.
At his current pace of action, after over a year as AG, the swamp looks full to the brim to my eyes.

Larry Schweikart on twitter (LS, here on Free Republic) also thinks that the investigations into the former Obama/Clinton will not be timed to the election in any way.
I just think that they would have to be extremely obtuse not to see the existential threat of Democratic takeover of the House, and impeachment. Ultimately though, a failed impeachment might even hurt the Dems more than none (the Senate looks secure to stay in Republican hands).
With Sessions being a repeated elected office holder, I just think that he will naturally appreciate the electoral impacts of all of this. Ultimately though, I do think that his priority will go to getting as many of the guilty convicted for the most offenses, rather than just the election.
In any event, I expect that he will try to keep everything undercover as long as possible - until the raids and arrests make it apparent.

Wrong. You no doubt believe that. This is all part of far larger actions undertaken against the Swamp and the Deep State. Your speculation of Sessions being “forced” is in your mind not in reality.
Read AG Sessions’ statement. That’s how it’s done. The DOJ IG and the FBI OPR both made the recommendation and AG Sessions followed that advice. (Not that any of this will be cited often by the DNC Media or others who will say Sessions did the bidding of others and/or the President.)

President Trump WITH AG Jeff Sessions is taking on the entire Swamp. In the coming days and weeks, this will manifest in the public square.

Do you want to know what has been accomplished in just over a year? Quite a bit and much of the groundwork remains unknown for a while longer and then another glimpse will be seen with the DOJ Investigator General Report.
This is chess not checkers. Not it’s the Deep State’s move. The President and AG will take their actions behind the scenes and respond in kind publicly at the right time.
This is going to get far more intense. People will wish they hadn’t seen what is unveiled and coming in the months ahead. It’s nothing seen in our lifetime and not in the history of this Republic.

Oh please, just look at how condescending you where. Nobody is trying to turn Sessions into a deity. If these freepers were just “concerned” the would not keep attacking those that try to put their concerns to bed. Imagine if I wrote that my DR. wanted me to come in and be checked for cancer, and I relayed my symptoms. Would I come on here and name call those trying to put my fears to rest? There is clearly an agenda by many of these folks, and it needs to be called out and culled out.
