I don't have a problem with that at all. Actually, I have a problem with him not doing it. He swore an oath and likely can prove thoroughly corrupt and illegal activity that threatens the nation's integrity.

Is being fired the same as “going down”?
I’d say “goes down” = indicted/convicted.
Not that this isn’t a first step. I think it is. But I doubt that being fired by itself is enough to trigger other extreme actions.

It should be noted as the former #2 at the FBI he knows all the dirt on all of the Obama administration. If there are enough legal hammers to apply to him he will either sing like a bird or fall on his own political sword.
One thing I have noticed is that politicians and government agents that are corrupt will not fall on their own ideological sword unless they are extreme ideologues themselves. If they are in it for power and money, they will talk to save their corrupt ass.

I love how the lib talking heads are saying how he always was a good and honest FBI guy until now. Because of that, he shouldn’t have been fired and shouldn’t lose his pension. What about someone who murders when he’s 30 years old, but had been a good guy until then? Let him skate?
