The Drudge Report, the prolific news aggregation website ran by Matt Drudge, has a new poll that shows its audience favors firing special counsel Robert Mueller and the results are not even close.
Currently, 266,943 voters support firing Robert Mueller where as 77,000 voters are against his firing. While the poll cannot be counted as a scientific poll of the general public, it is helpful in gauging where President Donald Trump's base and many conservatives stand on the issue.
Drudge's polling in the past was an early indicator of who the GOP Presidential nominee was going to be. For example after a September 2015 GOP primary poll, his audience supported Trump with 61% saying that he won the debate. From The Washington Examiner:
"Donald Trump was by far the favorite choice among readers of the influential Drudge Report after Wednesday night's Republican presidential debate.
Drudge posted a poll at the top of its site at the start of the debate, which was hosted by CNN and lasted three hours, for visitors to vote on "who won."
By the end of the event, Trump, who is number one in the Washington Examiner's presidential power rankings, received 61 percent of votes. At a distant second place with 14 percent was Carly Fiorina. In third, Sens. Ted Cruz and Rand Paul tied with 6 percent.
The poll is not scientific and visitors to the website can vote multiple times. Still, it offers some indication of the popularity for the candidates among a large swath of conservative readers across the country."
Drudge's poll today comes at a time when GOP senators such as Marco Rubio and and Lindsey Graham have condemned the potential firing Robert Mueller.
Firing Mueller is the only way Trump can lose the Presidency.
He knows that.
The time is not yet ripe to fire Mueller. Mueller needs to step in it big time to give Trump an excuse. As of now, he doesn’t have Rep support for this.
Only if it doesnt get Trump impeached.
If Trump gets impeached, I myself will pick up a pitchfork.
I’ve seen the poll on Drudge’s site.
Not by firing Mueller. Set up a Special Counsel to investigate Mueller’s own conflicts of interest, then just keep taking up the line bit by bit after he snaps at the bait. Right up to the moment he is finally indicted.
Which is exactly the strategy that Mueller and his cohorts wanted to use against the Trump Administration as a whole, and against Donald Trump in particular. Only, almost to a man, Team Trump did not take the bait. A few persons at the periphery were captured, but even under almost unbearable pressure and threats of their own indictment, no useful means to further indictment of Team Trump have ever been discovered.
Exactly and that would be a big mistake, which President Trump is clearly aware of. Thank God he wasn’t born yesterday.
That’s 1000% correct. I wouldn’t be surprised if the IG’s report incriminates Mueller for some of his actions during his term as director of the FBI. Indict Mueller and loose the hounds on him.
Dont fire Mueller. Indict him. Thatll light a fire under his ass. Start sucking bucks out of him.
Really. Start fighting BACK!!!
The Trump vote numbers are fast approaching 400,000 Americans voting for Robert Mueller to be immediately fired. Only about 110,000 Americans have voted for Robert Mueller to be retained. These number adds up to giving Trump a four to one advantage over the incompetent, biased, untruthful, criminal, Robert Mueller.
Fact is the vast majority of the American people and voters not only have Muellers number, but Comey, McCabe, Obama, Clinton, Kerry, Clapper, Rice, Brennan, Lynch, Holder, Biden, Pelosi, Schumer and certainly that mindless, blabbering, putz from California, Adam Schiff, etc., are in the same boat, listed & defined, as Criminals, Traitors & Turncoats to the USA!!!
IMHO....they all should be cuffed and sent to GITMO for a life long “seaside..”HELL”!!!
Ill bring the torch.
On the other hand, Trump saying "Mueller should be fired" repeatedly over the remaining time may be more valuable than actually doing so. It puts the pressure on the ones shrieking "don't you dare" to say why not. And they're looking pretty empty at the moment.
Mueller does not have that long to quit. Think of it in terms of weeks or even days.
Trump knows exactly what he is doing. Just remember, Trump worked for his living, and he knows the ABCs of these useless, deadbeat, “would be” dictators, tyrants, despots, politicians and elitists starting with Barack Hussein Obama, Hillary Clinton and working on down the line of human wastes.
The Rats, their pals in the civil service and in the press, are playing this thing masterfully,as they did in Alabama earlier this year.
Saul Alinsky may well have been a psychopath but he was an intelligent and articulate one.
The second Mule-sh*t is fired, impeachment comes right out. It is a chess game.
When I tried to go on Drudge, a sign came up saying the site is infected or something like it.
I say fire Mueller. Trump is losing credibility if he allows this loser to continue wasting Americans money and time. Theres plenty of time before the primaries for the effect of the firing to dissipate even among liberals. Plus Trump can set new policy and get things done.
Won’t and shouldn’t happen.
I mean, if youre in firing mode, dont stop firing. Just make it a string of overlapping firings to make it more of a trend instead of singular important events.
