Former Democrat (McConnell's guy) slips to third place in West Virginia race to challenge Manchin
washingtontimes.com ^ | 3/19/18 | Ben Wolfgang

As his opponents hammer away at his history as a Democrat, Rep. Evan H. Jenkins has fallen to third place in West Virginia’s Republican Senate primary election, as the three leading Republicans engage in an increasingly ugly contest for the right to challenge Sen. Joe Manchin III.

A survey conducted by Osage Research and commissioned by West Virginia Attorney General Patrick Morrisey’s Senate campaign shows Mr. Morrisey in front at 24.1 percent.

Former Massey Energy CEO Don Blankenship, who spent a year in federal prison in connection with the Upper Big Branch Mine explosion in 2010, came in second at 22.6 percent, and Mr. Jenkins was third with 17.4 percent. The Republican field poll had a margin of error of 4.38 percent. The survey conflicts with previous polling data commissioned by the Jenkins campaign, which showed the congressman with a comfortable lead.

The winner of the May 8 primary will face Mr. Manchin, a Democrat, in what is widely seen as a key race and a golden opportunity for Republicans to pick up a seat in a state that Donald Trump won convincingly in the 2016 presidential contest.

Here’s an article from Breitbart telling that McConnell’s chosen candidate (surprise, surprise) is a former democrat who supported Hillary Clinton in 2008.

He’d vote just like Shelley Moore Capito!

Go Morrissey or Blankenship!

Do not worry: the Uniparty will find a way to sink him an get Manchin re-elected.

It always does.

Based on this interview with Peter Schweizer from Breitbart about his new book, Mitch McConnell is bought and owned by the Chinese. He's owned by Chinese shipping and banking.

Just watch, if the Bush league Republican loses the primary, the GOP will help elect the Democrat.
They have done it again and again.

Go Morrissey or Blankenship!

Blankenship has more baggage than a 737 and could be another Roy Moore-like candidate in the making. Morrisey is the safer pick and probably has a better chance of knocking off Manchin.

The becoming tired of the establishment, its real. The establishment gave us all our problems. Its like holding two opposite magnets. People are just repelled from the establishment candidate now.

Vote for the guy or gal who can win this.

Roy Moore was a lesson to us all

So was Saccone

We need Trump Republicans

Republicans should put money into blue states as well. Take a seat or two in New Jersey, talk about high taxes the Murphy was to implement, New Jersey is already tired of that fool. Every day he thinks of a new tax to create.

New York as well, challenge Cuomo and that distraction

Massachusetts challenge fake indian with a real indian. Make the campaign fun and interesting to watch. Want to beat warren? Make her the joke she really is.

Turn that blue wave into a yellow puddle

For a long time, Joe Manchin was one of the few Democrats that didn't get muted when they popped up on TV. After President Trump got elected, Manchin seemed to get along with him. I even felt for a time he would go along with the Trump Tax Reform plan. But no. He sided with Dems.

For a time there was even talk of Manchin switching Parties. He did not. Now? It's time for Joe to go.

Let’s go with Morrisey and not the convicted felon...it’s frightening Blankenship is that close to being in the lead...it would be a blown opportunity if he gets nominated.

Jenkins is clearly sliding and should drop out so Morrisey can wrap it up. This “increasingly ugly contest” as the article describes it must have Manchin increasingly hopeful and this is a seat we should be able to win.

When I look at Mitch McConnell, what I see is a lack of credibility.

McConnell supported and threw GOP senate PAC money behind Luther Strange in Alabama. It really screwed up the Alabama race.

The candidate that would have beat Roy Moore was Mo Brooks. Luther had made too many people in Alabama mad after letting former gov. Robert Bentley off they hook.

McConnell threw millions into the race and locked out the best candidate. A republican would be in that senate seat now if not for Mitch Mcconnell.

Do not worry: the Uniparty will find a way to sink him an get Manchin re-elected.

It always does.

IIRC McConnell spent over $20 Million to defeat Judge Moore in Alabama and is in control of much more money that that so if his guy loses the Primary he will throw millions to Manchin.

Remember, Ryan gave that Dem that just won that Pennsylvania election a nice bundle of cash.

This is the game plan for the Swamp. They are going to try to toss the 2018 elections to the Dems so they can get back to enriching themselves and acquiring more power over us.
