A long piece in the New Yorker called “Getting to maybe” covers it. Rudio was used to silence talk radio. Rush & Levin were targeted.
I have a question for you or anyone you know ;)
Let’s pick one example from the bill - the 3 years of funding for the cost savings reduction for Obamacare. That’s in the bill. Yet - it’s not in a budget yet. How does spending that money work? Is it allocated for? (This supposedly only goes until September, yet this funding is for 3 years, so I”m confused. Plus many are saying this bill’s money allocation can be ignored - does this bill only give the MAX that might be spent, but in this example, Obamacare can still end up unfunded?)
How about you step back into reality and consider those of us who have supported Donald Trump from the very first, even before he declared, even supporting Herman Cain before him because he was honed in the business world too, yet think Our chosen President should not have signed a Omnibus Spending Bill that gives the Democrats a renewed hope in their crusade against our President?
If he had vetoed the bill and forced Congress to override the Veto he would have had the same outcome but none of the culpability. As a matter of fact, he would have generated an exponential increase of support among "liberty loving patriots." I still support our President but fear he has made a fatal blunder.
Are you delusional? Such an outcome would have severely weakened the President politically—much moreso than signing the bill!
How about you step back into reality and consider those of us who have supported Donald Trump from the very first...yet think our chosen President should not have signed a Omnibus Spending Bill that gives the Democrats a renewed hope in their crusade against our President?
I do consider those people—I'm one of them. But using that as an excuse to stop supporting the President is patently asinine—because it renders one a #NeverTrumper! Thus, I am firmly rooted in reality.
I have no problem with those who excoriate the President for signing this bill. My issue is with those who are using it as an excuse to abandon support for him altogether—in the midst of a God d-mn attempted coup.
Many upset FReepers—the "Nervous Nellie" crowd—have declared that they can no longer support the President. Think about that. Do you agree with that sentiment? Such a position—an overtly #NeverTrump position—simply cannot be justified logically.
Somehow, the signing of a 6-month spending bill outweighs the priority of fighting a pervasive, ongoing attempted coup? And because of that single act, someone can no longer support the President? Pure, unadulterated, hysterical, unbalanced insanity. In other words, #NeverTrumpism.
It cannot be rationalized. There's simply no basis for withdrawing one's support for President Trump because he signed a 6-month spending bill! Keeping the military fully funded and crushing this coup—which might even require the use of our military—is of paramount importance.
Depending on what happens between now and November—Inspector General reports, grand jury indictments, arrests, prosecutions, firings, etc.—the potential exists for severe civil unrest, Antifa-sponsored violence in the streets, and even the need for martial law.
One goal that the President clearly felt was critical was the full funding of his military priorities. President Trump has access to much more information than we do, and I trust his judgement—even though I sometimes disagree with it. Donald J. Trump has earned our trust a dozen times over during the last two years, and I will give him the benefit of the doubt while he is trying to fight against a Deep State coup being fomented by the Uniparty Swamp.
Spending bill, schmending bill! Let's crush this attempted coup—which is tantamount to treason itself. Nothing is more important, and #MAGA will never be fully realized as long as this criminal conspiracy is hanging over the President like the Sword of Damocles.
So those who still support the President—while vehemently opposing his signing of this 6-month spending bill—need to stop indulging their #NeverTrump impulses by declaring that they can no longer support him.
I dont know. I am the last person to ask about budget and economics. There are a lot of people here who know a whole lot more, so I bet your questions, good ones, will get answered.
Well, I figured everyone knew more than I do :-)
but you are awesome at cooking and especially Christmas villages!
You are a Christmas Village expert yourself! Id rather make 20 more villages, maybe even a Christmas NYC, than attempt a full explanation of world economics. Lol.
I still feel that the President should have soldiered on through the swamp. The coup which begin over two years ago does not have the urgency of other coups since the dawn of time.
The most important promise is and always was The Wall. The Omnibus Spending Bill did not lead us forward but instead sent us backward by kicking the can down the road yet again.
Reagan lost the midterm elections!
How did he do in 84?
Go crawl back under your rock.
