24 million could skip Census because of citizenship question: Report
The Washington Times ^ | March 30, 2018 | Stephen Dinan

Posted on 03/30/2018 9:24:37 AM PDT by jazusamo

The man who ran the 2000 census for the Clinton administration predicted Friday that more than 24 million people may refuse to take part in the 2020 count now that the survey is going to ask about citizenship status.

Robert Shapiro, who was under secretary at the Commerce Department during the 2000 count, called the decision to ask about citizenship “dangerous.”

He predicted 6.8 million illegal immigrants will duck the count altogether, as would about half of the 8.8 million legal residents who live in a household with an illegal immigrant present. The other half, he said, will likely lie and claim the illegal immigrants are citizens, further distorting the count.

~snip~

Mr. Shapiro said the losses could cost immigrant-heavy states such as California and Texas seats in Congress, while poor states that rely heavily on government assistance programs such as Mississippi, Louisiana, Kentucky and West Virginia would suffer the loss of funding.

They could simply answer yes. Who would know?

Texas and Florida would seem to be hard hit as well.

...Doesn't matter. No matter what you all do, you have your secret algorithm where you impute an under count and up the population via an estimate...

Estimates are useful for many things, but representation must be done by "actual Enumeration".

This has been tested in the courts and the constitution won.

Excellent....you can be sure that those who skip it will be the wetbacks themselves and their social justice warrior diaper changers. So it could well mean that states like CA,IL and NY lose 3...5....7 (or more) Congressional Districts, meaning they'd lose the same number of Electoral Votes.

Of course if that happened there would be a dozen different appeals to SCOTUS.

Regardless of which from you get, only put the essentials. You will probably get a visit like I did last time.

I hope ICE will make visits like that!!!

The goal is to not participate, or incriminate yourself.

Election will be interesting, either a major drop off in voter turn out or more voters then citizens of voting age!

“Recall his threats about not answering all the intrusive questions on the last census.”

The shrew they sent to our house was a real peice of work. Rubbed me the wrong way in short order so I told her I was busy and she’d have to call after I had checked to see when I’d have time to answer the questions. When she called, she threatened me with “talking to my neighbors” because my availibility wasn’t soon enough for her. Eventually I answered only the required questions.

Point is, they use similar gestapo tactics this time around they’ll probably cause a little wave of self-deportations.

We always knew the 11 million number was a lie, and now they are admitting it.

And the question was asked on every census from 1820 to 1950.

My understanding is that it was explicitly asked during that period, but was asked in other forms until removed for the 2010 Census.

I'm a Texan, and I'm cool with that. Now, if only we could start seeing some mass deportations.

Amen to that, it’s well past time for mass deportations.

24 million is a lot closer to the number of illegal aliens than the 11-12 million they keep using.

That would not even be counting the anchor babies.

Time to strip sanctuary cities federal funding for harbouring illegal immigrants!

It is way past time to arrest them as they are committing several felonies because some one ha failed to tell Jeff about the laws that congress passed long ago.

I never did fill out the 2010 census. Found it later in a pile of mail. They did send a real person but I was never home when they came. They finally gave up.
