A 1500-strong army of illegal migrants is marching to the US border through Mexico this month with the blessing of the Mexican government.

The Pueblos Sin Fronteras, an international group against borders, is behind the invading army.

If you look at the make-up of the group it looks like most of the marchers are young men between the ages of 15 and 35.

Immigration agents abandoned their posts as 1,500 people on Refugee Caravan, mainly from Honduras, crossed into Mexico from Guatemala yesterday with goal to reach US (video via @pueblosf) pic.twitter.com/QsduFwN747

Well, if Trump hadn’t signed the budget the federal government would be shutdown and the caravan would breeze through the border.

AS a matter of a point.

Mexico was a County before the US was a country...

CLOSE THE BORDER. Send the military, regular or National Guard, to secure the border. Give Mexico ultimatum to secure their side, secure the people they allow in their country, else we will. And declare Pueblos Sin Fronteras in San Diego and anyone involved as enemy. Freeze there funds.

I’m getting the sense that laws passed by Congress handcuffs a President from turning back this invasion. But there has to be exceptions.

close the border.

...to all traffic.
It won't take long to see which country is the financial loser with a totally closed border.

I sure hope that Trump realizes that this is no longer a game. This is war by other means, and Mexico, aiding and abetting, is complicit.
It's an invasion.
Time for a bloodless response to this war.

Issue a swift warning with a deadline, say, 4 hours, to stop that train and turn it around. A single train carrying 1500 invaders in or on it, should be easy to spot.

Time to follow that train with drones, with air cover by F-35s, and blow up a few miles of track and a few bridges ahead of that train.

When the dust settles, Mexico can fix the problem, the U.S. can stop spending hundreds of millions attempting to reason with animals and, as a bonus, Mexico can start building the bridges that they talk so much about, as well as rebuilding a few miles of track.

Hopefully it will permanently shut up the arrogant smug idiot Ramos, and a certain multimillionaire ex-Mexican president, who will now have the opportunity to personally help his countrymen...

Time to stop playing games with Mexico.

Compassion is a virtue when it's voluntary. When it's coerced via threat of violence, or actual violence, it's clearly a war.

If Mexico doesn’t want a border wall, let’s just ‘open border’ Mexico. Stop the marchers 50 miles from the US border and then set up detention camps. And when Mexico complains, just reply we’re de-segregating Mexico.

Mexican independence from Spain was achieved in 1821. How does that date make it an older country than the USA?

Keep this a Mexican humanitarian problem. Make them set up and feed them in a camp like Cologne France.

You are a serious Debbie Downer. Let our VSGPDJT do his magic. He said this is not going to fly. It will not fly. Even if the military has to practice bombing runs where these dudes are planning to cross, it is not going to happen.

Is there any reason that the President of the United States of America, can not declare a State of National Emergency, declare Martial Law, federalize The National Guard, send Regular Army troops to the border, Intrude on Mexico’s airspace, and dare them to do squat about it!
Roosevelt essentially imprisoned American citizens of Japanese decent. Lincoln, suspended Habeas Corpus, and Obama broke more laws than we’ll ever know.
REALITY TRUMPS ALL ELSE!...no pun intended!

I agree. Stop 100% of cross-border traffic coming from Mexico for any purpose, lawful or not.

If the Mexicans don’t like that then they can take care of the business they need to take care of to be a responsible neighbor.

If they fail, then I will support a declaration of war against Mexico and annexation of a nice buffer zone, say 200 miles.

Mexico was a County before the US was a country...

Depends on your definition of "country." As far as I can see, Mexico is not a country, no more than Zimbabwe is a country. TODAY.
Senility is a sad thing, as is "a little learning."

If you seek knowledge rather than hyperbole, I can recommend a good book about the many unsuccessful riots uprisings and deaths before 1910 in Mexico.

The great Mexico city riot of 1968 is specially noteworthy, as it happened after 1910.

I hope we need not have to hear further absurd comparisons between Mexico and the United States as real countries, else we have nothing further to discuss.

“This is an act of war. It is an invasion. We are defenseless once they enter the country”

Plus, if they enter the country, the media will interview the doe-eyed young children and crying mothers and melt the hearts of the softies in the US and a groundswell of sentiment will grow to let these people stay and seek the good life they are trying to make for their families, yadda, yadda .. and then it’s essentially all over..
