IRS is very important agency for existence of a functioning government, without which we would descend into anarchy. IRS has the tough job of collecting legal tax due.

That said, IRS can not be allowed to operate as a ruthless dictator who can freeze or seize assets of tax payers without a court hearing.

Just one other thing:

President Trump is a good man, but he is only one man. He needs all of us to keep the heat on the rest of them to do the right thing. Or at least avoid doing the wrong thing.

I understand others disagree, but I think it is a mistake to allow the left (swamp) and the RINOs (swampettes) to abrogate their sworn duty and run out the clock until the rest of us either give up or simply forget about it.

.....”think it is a mistake to allow the left (swamp) and the RINOs (swampettes) to abrogate their sworn duty and run out the clock until the rest of us either give up or simply forget about it”....

Well they wouldn’t be Rhinos or the left if they weren’t counting on that....history shows it works.

That is not a bad point, and, besides, the corruption in our gov’t is somewhat a separate issue from our onerous tax code. We should be able to work on both.

As far as the tax code goes, in addition to reforming the IRS, if we can’t get rid of income tax soon, we should at least be able to start whittling down its complexity. That’s almost a bigger problem for small businesses than the amount of tax itself...

How about citizens’ tribunals, appointed by each state’s legislatures, that can arrest abusive IRS employees and put them on trial in state courts.

Personally, I’d like to see Mick Mulvaney to the redesign. Fire Lerner and other top people, lock the doors in the middle of the night like he did the CFPB.

How about something really simple like jury by peers? One little sentence that would change the entire country.

How about forcing the IRS & the Social Security Administration to tell the true holders of Social Security numbers that their number has been stolen?

There are over 1.1 MILLION such cases, and neither agency will notify the correct holder of the number. That can only lead to further confusion when it is time for a person to retire.

It's up to you to ‘follow up’ if your Soc. Security Number is stolen. Just reporting isn't nearly enough. It's also up to you to protect yourself. "Lifelock" etc offer such services.

I had someone using mine in another state to claim death benefits, which I wouldn't have know of had I not been pro-active by frequently checking credit rating companies as the companies informed such. If you expect the government is going to notify you then you're looking in the wrong place.

Oh I most certainly “grasp’ what's going on.......

If I assume you recognize the DOJ, FBI, CIA are highly corrupted then why would you expect them to “avenge the wrong doing”,as you say, when within these organizations the rule of law does not reign....rather the operate by how far up to that line one can go and simply apologize or excuse “for the good of the country” As Comey and others have done.....for stepping over it?

... you further stating....”the rule of law doesn’t apply to the elite and/or politically connected but does for the commoners “......reveals you are aware of the corruption.

But that said.. just ‘how and what do you’ intend to do about it, other than talk about it and point fingers, that our Pres. and those he trusts aren't already in the fight to change and this being opposed and threatened at every turn?????

You cannot have law and order when the lawgivers and enforcers are corrupted.....so "patience" is needed while those who are trying to out these b*stards is currently going on.......

It's only the first step when Trump appoints those over these various positions

and departments, that's just the first step......they all have a huge undertaking of discovery

and rooting out those masquerading as something they're not...

and they've had 8 yrs. of Obama to hide in thickets he's fabricated for them......

and they to cover for him, Hillary and all the others......

“But that said.. just ‘how and what do you’ intend to do about it, other than talk about it and point fingers...”

I can’t answer that on a public forum.

As far as ‘talking about it’ - it’s better than silent submission, wouldn’t you agree?

I do not disagree with you here.

My point is that it is We the People who are the final arbiters to the fate of this country. All of us need to take an active, even leading, role it returning us to the land of the free; the home of the brave.

As opposed to waiting for the Republicans to live up to their oath of office.

I am not referring to President Trump - I believe his intentions are good and honorable and is bending over backwards to stem the tide of anti-Americanism.

The other Republicans - not so much.

We were not a super power then. And our economy was still in horse and buggy stage. And no inter-continental air force. Airplanes were in the Wright bros stage. So we did not need IRS because government spending was so small.
