DENVER - Chipotle Mexican Grill announced its moving its headquarters from Denver to Newport Beach, California.
"We'll always be proud of our Denver roots where we opened our first restaurant 25 years ago. The consolidation of offices and the move to California will help us drive sustainable growth while continuing to position us well in the competition for top talent," said Brian Niccol, chief executive officer at Chipotle.
The company said all work within the current Denver office will be consolidated to Chipotle's office in Columbus, Ohio or moved to the new headquarters in California.
The next six months will be dedicated to transitioning the Denver and New York office functions to Newport Beach and Columbus, Chipotle says. The new location will serve as a headquarters for all company operations, business development, communications, finance, marketing, food safety, HR and more.
Chipotle says following the transition, the Denver and New York offices will close.

You are probably not far off. The CEO was the head of Taco Bell until he took the job with Chipolte earlier this year. Guess where Taco Bell HQ is located? Irvine, which is next to Newport Beach.
Newport Beach is one of the prettiest places in the world, with some spectacular sunsets. California is filled with natural wonders, and has some of the best weather on the planet - what a pity the liberals have turned it into North Mexico.

Bingo. Brian Niccol was the former CEO of Taco Bell who just became CEO of Chipotle earlier this year. I believe Brian lives in Laguna Beach since he sold a home there a few years back. In any event he used to live there. Laguna Beach is just a few miles south of Newport Beach.
They are fools. Let them learn the very hard way. Their prices are already too high — just wait until they get a taste of the confiscatory taxation in Comrade Moonbeam’s mecca.
Insane... nobody moves TO California.
This will be the beginning of a death spiral for that chain. That CEO is an asswhipe. WTF wants to move to Cali? Everyone with a brain is leaving that state.
