I have considered two different scenarios all along.
1) He does NOT have neuroblastoma but didn’t want to be in DC when the indictments started happening so decided to retreat to Arizona and try to thwart President Trump from a distance while collecting sympathy for “fighting on”.
2)He has been on life support for months, until the deadline for an election has passed, with his aides and his wife doing all the “tweeting” under his name. This is looking more likely now, especially if he “passes peacefully” on June 1st!
Either way, he is a contemptible human being and the people of Arizona should demand they be allowed to select their own Senator!

You don’t know Arizona. It is loaded with military retirees who adore McCain but who don’t follow politics that closely. Then there is the Mormon mafia which supports McCain for reasons of its own. When McCain had a challenger (JD Hayworth) a few years back JD got 40% of the vote. And there you have it:The 40% that hate McCain’s guts, hate the Democrats more, and so he sneaks in.
