At least four police vans responded to the march as it made its way through Leeds.

Many supporters brandished "Free Tommy" placards and demonstrators chanted "let Tommy out" at police officers.

The march was organised by the group Proud British, which says on Facebook that its purpose is to "voice freedom of speech" and "stop the strain on the NHS, schools and our public services."

One supporter of Robinson told a reporter: "Journalist? F*** off — you're all scum".

Some protestors were heard making racist chants.

Crowds chanted "BBC BBC" in protest at what they see as the corporation's bias against Robinson, whose real name is Stephen Yaxley Lennon.

The throng gathered at 34 Boar Lane, where police used force to stop one man.

Supporters have said there is a "price on Robinson's head" as he prepares for his 13-month sentence in HMP Hull.

Suppose it was true. So what. Did Tommy tell them to make racist chants? Are they slogans promulgated by the EDL? These are poor people who just don’t want their country invaded. There are bound to be a few louts among them, but that doesn’t paint the whole movement. Look to the root cause of the racism. The leftards are driving these poor soccer fans to racism, by discrediting the arguments against it./not sarc, just using their line of “reasoning” against them.

The really sad thing is we have to preserve whatever footage and photos of these Robinson protests that we can now. I can foresee yet another blackout on protest coverage right around the corner. So it’s up to our respective hard drives to preserve what’s going on.

I would guess “I” means the Italian national elections. As usual in that country, it became confusing about how to “set up” the govt. The pope, Brussels, Germany, France and England tried to influence Italy’s new president leftward, in favor of E.U. philosophy. Instead he brought in a different financial man not wanted by the EU heavyweights. I am lacking in details...?!
