Also along with Portugal, Spain was pillaging and robbing most of Mexico and South America. And also while they were purchasing slaves from Muslim slave traders, and shipping the human cargo west for their own profit.
Fortunately they didn’t castrate the slaves coming west, unlike the Muslim did to the ones going east.
