No, they are talking about currently used facilities. It was done during the Obama save the children crisis as well. They tossed military out of their barracks into tents and used the barracks for housing illegals. They also did the same at the US Border Patrol Academy, agents there for training were tossed from their rooms which were handed over to house illegals.
The military facility I am familiar with set up an area for this on Post when it happened before so this time hopefully at least soldiers will not be booted from their rooms for illegals.
I think it is a huge security risk as well as being a slap in the face to our military and BP. With laws as they currently are concerning how well we must treat illegals I don’t know what we are supposed to do with all of them but I don’t agree with this as a solution.
Wouldn’t surprise if all of them are living comfortably throughout the country thanks to bambam.
Well here’s a crazy thought, if Donald can get away with it. Remember Donald went to military school. Why can’t that be offered to the “kids” as a get out of here quick option. Military school, then back to Guatemala.
There is a solution to the issue where the left organizes waves of illegals to storm the border and overwhelm the process, then uses the chaos to try to score political points.
We have consulates all over Mexico and elsewhere. We need to stop trying to process these people at the border. Once they reach the border the left has changed so many of our immigration laws it is hard to process them within the allowed time frame, forcing some to be released, that is why they come in waves- to overwhelm the system. We all know if we release them 80% will not show up for court hearings and melt into the already overwhelming number of illegals we already have here.
Stop doing that process at the border. Staff the consulates to process them, and do not allow anyone to cross the border that has not already completed the process and been granted asylum or other legal status to enter this country. The number floating around is that only a very small tiny percentage of those claiming asylum are actually granted it. Using asylum claims improperly is something the dims came up with to get large numbers of illegals in abusing our laws.
We need to hammer anyone with an R to make this happen. I see nothing that could be used as a hammer by the left in doing this. This would actually help the people actually qualified in that they would not have to make that long dangerous trip in order to apply for real asylum.
Knowing Mexico the way I do, I would bet a lot of money when the chaos of the fake asylum seekers is in their country instead of at our border they will shut their door to the waves of illegals coming up. Problem solved.
Trump needs to do something that hasnt been done before. Settle these people in Chuck Shumer or Nancy Pelosis neighborhood. The wealthy democrat elite need to be made to suffer. Im alright with spending our tax money buying some expensive land in these rich neighborhoods to build refugee centers.
Having more facilities than ports of entry would help. I believe, however, these kids didn’t just show up at ports of entry and say “Asylum, por favor.” They snuck on across.
I opt for back to Guatemala. I don’t want them here a minute longer than legally required to process.
