How's this for sneaky? Sen. John McCain, not too long after seeking conservative and Republican votes in his failed 2008 bid for the presidency, went right after those same conservative voters without telling them, by egging on the IRS to ruin them.
It's the sort of political back-stabbing that defies belief, taking an active role in destroying the Tea Party, which was an authentic grassroots movement of local groups calling for smaller government. But sure enough, Judicial Watch has found McCain's central role right there in the documents:
Judicial Watch today released newly obtained internal IRS documents, including material revealing that Sen. John McCains former staff director and chief counsel on the Senate Homeland Security Permanent Subcommittee, Henry Kerner, urged top IRS officials, including then-director of exempt organizations Lois Lerner, to audit so many that it becomes financially ruinous. Kerner was appointed by President Trump as Special Counsel for the United States Office of Special Counsel.
The explosive exchange was contained in notes taken by IRS employees at an April 30, 2013, meeting between Kerner, Lerner, and other high-ranking IRS officials. Just ten days following the meeting, former IRS director of exempt organizations Lois Lerner admitted that the IRS had a policy of improperly and deliberately delaying applications for tax-exempt status from conservative non-profit groups.

John is being exposed for the vile creature he is. Im not sure if he has any supporters left, ones that he hasnt stabbed in the back.
Yes and no. I have this vague recollection that there was some announcement after Sessions became AG that he would not prosecute Lerner.
“Wasnt she let off the hook long before Sessions ever left the Senate?”
Yes; long before, IIRC.
I knew McCain was actively involved but not to this degree.
It also explains why nothing was ever done to resolve it.
McCain probably told Turtle he would flip to RAT if they didn’t kill the investigation.
It might be, if anyone other than American Thinker readers and Freepers ever hear about it...which I sincerely doubt.
Still I bet people in AZ would vote to reelect him if he were on the ballot today.
I wish Judicial Watch would seek documentation from the Arizona Department of Revenue or whatever it is called. The same thing happened there. I would not have thought McCain responsible, but it sure looks that way. Who was the other senator in Arizona who quit during the Obama years?
Yep. Pronto.
FUJMc....
Flaky Flake
You can imagine how furious McTurd was after all he did over the years to maintain the GOPe, only to have Donald Trump come along and burn it all down.
The 2016 election was probably like torture for him. I hope.
McCains grave is going to need a sump pump.
Whole lot of jumping to conclusions here today - the article doesn’t say anything about him working IN the WH...The article didn’t say WH Special Counsel!!
“”The United States Office of Special Counsel (OSC) is a permanent independent federal investigative and prosecutorial agency whose basic legislative authority comes from four federal statutes: the Civil Service Reform Act, the Whistleblower Protection Act, the Hatch Act, and the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act””
Well OF COURSE they supported him! He backed their agenda! McCain is one of them!
It does appear to be a Yes and No situation. Another one of those “no evidence - no bias - no crime” we’re becoming quite familiar with today.

I feel bad as a human being saying this, but McCain can’t go away quick enough for me.
Sarah Palin is the only reason he did as well as he did and he’s still a loser.
There is nothing worse than a President who uses the full force of the Federal Government to attack private citizens.
Looks like Americans were doomed no matter who won in 2008.
The main thing that every political campaign in the United States demonstrates is that the politicians of all parties, despite their superficial enmities, are really members of one great brotherhood. Their principal, and indeed their sole, object is to collar public office, with all the privileges and profits that go therewith. They achieve this collaring by buying votes with other people's money.
