I’ve seen good things about him (for example, Brain Fallon of Hillary’s campaign Tweeted the following):

Kavanaugh:
Praised *dissent* in Roe
Criticized Roberts ruling on Obamacare
Says sitting POTUS can’t be indicted/can fire special counsel whenever he wants
Opposes net neutrality
Opposes consumer bureau
Says assault weapon bans are unconstitutional

However, your list is concerning to me too. George Bush is out there praising him because he worked for him. My big fear is another Kennedy (whom Trump seems to like). I want to see the end of Roe vs. Wade.

Saying it one’s self comes off as virtue signaling or needing to be liked. Conservatives that I know usually just do good and help people without trumpeting it and Liberals that I know can’t wait to tell about all the help they have given. Probably this is just my unique experience and I am wrong. Of course I was not saying it is bad to do good, that would be idiotic and I have a brain 2.

I believe President Trump made a great choice.

It’s been fun watching bitching & moaning of the never trump-turds & the anti-America progressives lose their minds again this evening.

Brett Kavanaugh --

http://www.dcdave.com/article5/070909.htm

Intimidation of Patrick Knowlton (The inconvenient witness at Ft. Marcy Park)

“ As a last resort, Knowlton prepared a "Report of Witness Tampering" and took it personally to the Office of the Independent Counsel. "It was their responsibility, at the very least, to find out who leaked word of his subpoena," notes Evans-Pritchard. According to Evans-Pritchard, John Bates responded by calling security and having Knowlton removed from the building.

Perhaps the most telling indication of Starr's attitude toward Knowlton is the humiliating cross-examination to which this brave man was subjected before the grand jury. Knowlton says that he was "treated like a suspect."

Prosecutor Brett Kavanaugh appeared to be trying to imply that Knowlton was a homosexual who was cruising Fort Marcy Park for sex. Regarding the suspicious Hispanic-looking man he had seen guarding the park entrance, Kavanaugh asked, Did he "pass you a note?" Did he "touch your genitals?"

Knowlton flew into a rage at Kavanaugh's insinuations. Evans-Pritchard writes that several African American jurors burst into laughter at the spectacle, rocking "back and forth as if they were at a Baptist revival meeting.

Kavanaugh was unable to reassert his authority. The grand jury was laughing at him. The proceedings were out of control."

It was at that point, reports Evans-Pritchard, that Patrick Knowlton was finally compelled to confront the obvious: "the Office of the Independent Counsel was itself corrupt." (pp. 106-107)”

From Roger Stone:

Although Foster killed himself, it was in his old executive office building office that he did so. Hillary admits in her own biography that she feared Foster’s White House office would become a “crime scene” with federal investigators having access to all of Clinton’s most confidential records. Foster’s body was rolled into a carpet and it was dumped in Fort Marcy Park. The FBI toxicology report confirms that Foster was covered head-to-toe with carpet fiber.

A witness, Patrick Knowlton, was driving up the GW Parkway towards home when happened by the park where Foster’s corpse had been transported and staged to look like an on-site suicide.

But when the parkway got congested, he pulled into Marcy Park to urinate. Knowlton relieves himself behind a bush but upon returning to his car saw two men in a blue automobile with Arkansas license plates. The men were menacing and he left quickly. When he learned on the news that this was the day Clinton’s presidential aide Vince Foster’s body was found in Fort Marcy Park, Knowlton made the biggest mistake of his life by calling the Parkway Police and the FBI and telling them what he did – and did not see. Incredibly, federal prosecutor Brett Kavanaugh, rather than welcoming this information, undertook a campaign to terrorize, threaten and intimidate Knowlton into changing his story.

Kavanaugh, working for Special Counsel Ken Starr, browbeat, intimidated and tampered with the testimony of Patrick Knowlton who ultimately filed a compelling lawsuit over this prosecutorial abuse.

Knowlton’s mistake: he saw the blue sedan with Arkansas plates in which Vince’s body was delivered but Vince’s car, a brown sedan also with Arkansas plates, had not yet been delivered.

The attack on Knowlton by Kavanaugh was brutal. His unequivocal witness statements to the Park Police investigators suddenly created consistency problems for the cover-up story that Foster had driven himself to the park in his brown vehicle and shot himself there. Knowlton saw a different vehicle, not Foster’s, and vehemently denied that Foster’s brown vehicle had been there when Knowlton first arrived. It could only have arrived sometime later after Foster was known to already be dead.

I liked the gal, this guy scares me, he has a liberal smell to him. Bush, Bush But I will say Trump made it hard for them to attack him. Levin said any of the four would be good, but he has questions for this pick.

An article by Turley at Accuracy in Media cites an article at Turley's website, which includes a 'link' to an audio recording of the late Reed Irvine, founder of AIM, speaking with Kavanaugh about the Foster case. In the conversation, KAVANAUGH DOES A POOR JOB defending the OIC's Foster investigation.

Brett Kavanaugh and Vince Foster

(I could not access this. Good luck to others.)

By the way, (jmo) Brett Kavanaugh makes my skin crawl. He looks to me like one of those individuals who will DO ANYTHING to succeed. I can almost guarantee he is going to be a bummer as a member of The Supreme Court.

I only hope that Trump named him because DJT made a deal with someone for something else.

Or ....... maybe he knows Kavanaugh is going down in the hearings. I hope so.

Who knows?

I think you are correct. After reading most of the comments on this post it sounds to me like he is a centrist and could go left on some decisions. The only thing that seems good to me is; he is not a hillary or Obum pick. i guess he is 60% conservative and 40% liberal. It could be better but it could have been worse, much worse. We will have to hope the next pick is more conservative.

Reading the linked article, there is something fishy about the guy who is criticizing Kavanaugh''s investigation into Ken Foster's death in Fort Marcy Park:

Rodriguez went back to the U.S. attorney's office in Sacramento, where, following a gender identity change, he is today serving the public and continuing to fight crime.

Yeah. For a guy with all these accomplishments, a very bland little speech. I guess the days of Lincolnesque oratory is over. Now it’s all about coaching kiddies at soccer.>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

I hated that “Coach K” oozed political correctness. I would rather he be an unabashed thundering ball buster with lightning bolts flying out of his arse, like PDJT.

There is something so 1984 about him ( pneumatic and pliable), he is “fuzzy” around the edges, a shifty Washington judge who knows always which way the political winds are blowing as his major reference point. He dows not have the gravitas of a Scalia or even of Gorsuch.

He may be a conservative , a constitutionalist, but like you, I am not impressed. He would look ridiculous on a horse. That’s my test I guess.Definitely not a populist conservative, but rather an elitist with priggish pretentions towards political correctness rather than truly independant thought.

Therefore he will be confirmed like shite through a goose, quickly with a lot of stink.
