An Atlanta charter school headed into the new school year by telling students and staff not to recite the Pledge of Allegiance in the morning - but instead the "Wolf Pack Chant."
Atlanta Neighborhood Charter School announced on Tuesday it will be eliminating the Pledge of Allegiance from its morning agenda to make the institution more inclusive.

"There are many emotions around this and we want everyone in our school family to start their day in a positive manner. After all, that is the whole purpose of our morning meeting," Zelski said.

The Atlanta charter school isn't the first to eliminate the Pledge of Allegiance. Bedford Area School District in southcentral Pennsylvania said in April it will not require students to stand for the pledge. School officials cited the students' First Amendment rights as their reason.

Deport all illegals. No exceptions. As for legal immigrants, if the Pledge of Allegiance offends them, they need to be sent home. I'm done bending over backwards for the perpetually offended. "Bend over for illegal criminals" sounds too much like BOHICA to me.
Reciting loyalty pledges to certain groups or organizations excluding your Macro Nation-State.
The new goal is the lowest common denominator. The more you aim for it, the lower it gets.
When I was in elementary and jr high school we recited the Pledge. But if a student or parent had any objection to reciting it all it took was a note from their parents and they were excused, no questions asked. And our parents and teachers admonished us in no uncertain terms not to harass those kids and respect their views, just as they were expected to respect others as well. But once again we see anything that was sensible then is inherently eeevil and rayyycist.
Any school receiving tax dollars should be required to teach true American history and civics. They should be required to read and understand Lincolns address of 1838 to Young Men’s Lyceum in Springfield.
And yet they make them take the school oath...
The pledge is very inclusive - if you’re an American.
NOW this is the Law of the Jungle — as old and as true as the sky;
And the Wolf that shall keep it may prosper, but the Wolf that shall break it must die.
As the creeper that girdles the tree-trunk the Law runneth forward and back —
For the strength of the Pack is the Wolf, and the strength of the Wolf is the Pack.
The whole code goes on and on, but always coming back to the same theme, that wolves and the Pack are inseparable.
Why do so many Americans hate their own country?!
If I were a student there, I’d stand up and say it anyway.
