Irish activists pledge to protest against Donald Trump visit
The Guardian ^ | 09/01/18

Politicians and activists in Ireland have pledged to protest against Donald Trump when he visits in November.

On Friday, the White House announced the visit to Ireland would take place as part of a European tour that would also see the US president travel to Paris for a commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the Armistice after the first world war.

A White House statement said Trump’s visit would “renew the deep and historic ties between our two nations”.

The Irish Labour party, Greens and Solidarity – People Before Profit all pledged to organise protests surrounding the visit, within an hour of the announcement. The Irish Green party leader, Eamon Ryan, released an official statement on Friday night:

He urged the people of Ireland to “show their disgust and rejection of the Trump administration’s policies by turning out, as we did during the Iraq war in 2003, in large-scale mass protest around the country”. He said: “Donald Trump’s administration champions policies that are destroying our planet, destabilising international order, and reaching new political depths by appealing to racism, misogyny, xenophobia and hatred. These policies do not reflect the Irish people’s values – we need to show him and the world that this is not normal.

“Decency, integrity and fact-based politics still exist and are worth defending. We’re calling on Irish people to tell our government to cancel this visit; and for them to demonstrate in never-before-seen numbers should they fail to do so.”

The Workers’ party Cork City councillor, Ted Tynan, said the taoiseach, Leo Varadkar, and the minister for foreign affairs, Simon Coveney, were not representing the views of the majority of Irish people in extending the welcome.

An Irish curse for them:   "May they be plagued by a powerful itch and never have the nails to scratch it".

Did Maxine Waters help write that statement?

It's The Guardian which is functionally equivalent.

These are probably the very same people who fought to get abortion-on-demand.

The Irish used to be productive, pleasant and coherent. In my view they have turned into a reckless rant mob. They are to be shunned

So is letting people dump their garbage on our nation’s border or taking a dump on the border good for the environment? Are the Irish going to take all the immigrants in?

I’m sure the media went looking for protester organizations.

If they didn’t find any, I’m sure they said, “Hey, why aren’t you gonna protest? We’ll give you top coverage and promote your organization for you.”

Then they report it as spontaneous plans to protest.

Soros has recently taken over Republic of Ireland. His groups have poured millions into that country to push legalized abortion and gay marriage down everyone’s throats. Ireland was the “poor man of Europe” before the EU previously took over around 20 years ago. EU funnelled in “development money” in exchange for Ireland accepting muslim and EU immigrants into this ancient people’s small island.

The original Irish were tiny, dark-haired, blue-eyed and fair skinned aborigine bog-dwelling people from the Stone Age. Patrick, an English teenager who was kidnapped and enslaved by an Irish pirate warlord, escaped and returned to England, became a Bishop and returned to Ireland to bring the gospels to its people, converting the country to Christianity in 432.

Ireland was invaded by the Vikings around year 800; their height and blondness resulted in many redheads, blonds, freckles and high foreheads among the Irish. Other than stray English and Scots in the southern realm of the island, that’s been about it for race mixing until recently.

British domination kept the people so poor that many Irish migrate elsewhere, including contemporary caravans of ethnic Irish gypsies who squat in UK and USA. Northern Ireland (Ulster) has been a British colony for centuries; it was settled by Scottish Presbyterian Gaelic-speakers (the Scots-Irish), a portion of whom migrated to the Appalachian region of the US in the 1840s, and outward from there across the States. There are more people of Irish descent now living in the US than in all of Ireland. The same period of time, mid-1800s, saw the southern Catholic Irish starved off their land by British overlords (the Potato Famine); a major part of the population either died, migrated (chiefly to the US) or was sent to prison colonies in Australia.

The majority Catholic southern region that is now the Republic of Ireland fought for its independence from oppressive Britain in the 1920s; still, sporadic street fighting and bombing continued between the north and south, pitting Protestants against Catholics (”the Troubles”) for decades, and was only settled around the time of the EU takeover.

Both the north and south of Ireland were the most Christian region in Europe in terms of participation and reflected in law, until the EU and Soros takeovers, the OneGayUntilMuslimWorldOrder.
