Grassley suggests last-minute Kavanaugh hearing could be canceled if accuser doesn’t accept invite

Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley on Tuesday raised the possibility that next week’s high-stakes open hearing to examine the sexual assault allegation against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh could be canceled if the accuser doesn’t accept the committee’s invitation.

Grassley, R-Iowa, scheduled a hearing for Monday for Kavanaugh and accuser Christine Blasey Ford to answer questions from senators about the allegation. But Grassley said during a Tuesday radio interview that his office has reached out several times to Ford and her attorneys to discuss her allegation, but has heard nothing back.

What’s to investigate?
************
Collusion is not a crime under US law.

What’s to investigate?

Political Theatre by Dems is always promoted and championed by the MSM.

I like your suggestions. I would add one thing: The letter of support signed by 64 of his current or former female friends/girlfriends/co-workers be admitted into the record and fill the room with these women not allowing any room for the agitators. If any/all of them would like to speak, allow them to do so. Three of them were on the Laura Ingraham show, and they were very articulate.

The GOP is totally gutless! Hold the vote!

She already admitted she may have been wrong!

That's not how I recall it.

Leeann Tweeden said that she went public when she heard Jackie Speier talk about being assaulted as an intern. I don't think Franken brought it up at all.

Franken did later say that he would refer himself to the ethics committee, but that was a last-ditch effort to protect himself. Franken knew that the Democrats would sacrifice him to gain leverage on opposing the seating of Roy Moore if he won.

The problem for Franken was that Democrats couldn't wait for a month until the Alabama special election to act.

They’ve already done internal polling on this and it’s a dangerous mock to fire wholesale before the election. The Red wave will take care of it. In fact, the sleezy Kavanaugh proceedings may doom the democrats in November no matter how this plays out.

The worst thing Trump could do is fire people he will use as examples of corruption in the years ahead.

The red wave is coming...

He’s a Democrat and could have gotten away with blowing it off as just a joke (which it actually was). He specifically chose to leave rather than fight an easily winnable fight - that’s a guy who was looking for an excuse to make an exit.

My bet if she refuses to testify is that Schumer will call a Presser and declare that the EVIL republicans have publicly smeared this good women to the point that she has sought shelter in a Sanitarium and is now heavily sedated because of the Trama and unavailable for questioning.

He will then accuse the Republicans of hating women by going forth with the BK vote, because it should be investigated until 2020 by Andrew McCabe and Peter Stryok.

I say have the vote...put people on the record and let Trump hang it around their necks for the rest if their careers. You don’t get this pick but you get rid a lot of liars. Then push another one and keep this process going always moving the selection to the right

The photo itself was a joke, but it was backed up with numerous allegations of aggressive behavior during USO rehearsals. Others have also come out and said that Franken used rehearsals to force kisses on people.

Sure, Franken himself could have tried to tough it out, but the decision wasn't his. Schumer made the political calculus that they needed to take the high ground to inoculate themselves against a potential Roy Moore win in Alabama. Going soft on Franken would undermine their arguments against Moore, so Franken had to go.

If this is under oath....she’ll decline because she’ll be questioned about the specifics that she can’t provide.

She's already admitted she doesn't remember the name of the girl who held the party and other details that any other girl/woman who's been sexually assaulted WOULD remember IN DETAIL, so it should be crystal clear she's lying.

The guy she said pulled Kavanaugh off of her has also said she's lying and the incident never happened.

This has always been about delaying the vote until AFTER the mid-term elections so Democrats could then say "no vote until new Congress sworn in."

If the Democrats think they're going to take over Congress after this stupid stunt, they have another thing coming.

Yesterday his Washington office was forwarding calls to a full mailbox. His Phoenix office was also forwarding calls, but I was able to leave a message.

As Rush pointed out a while ago, what kind of loony tunes are the Democrats going to pack the hearing room with? If you think the disruptions during the first hearing were out of control, just wait till this hearing starts!

First hearing was nuts because the crazies were being paid to disrupt:

https://dailycaller.com/2018/09/18/soros-kavanaugh-protesters/?utm_medium=push&utm_source=daily_caller&utm_campaign=push

If you remember the James O’Keefe videos about the campaign, Dems were paying protestors to yell and scream and even flying them around the country to do so.

It would be hard to have a hearing if the “witness” doesn’t testify.

RIght now, there is absolutely no accusation before the commitee. So far as I can tell, Feinstein didn’t even submit the original mail she got into evidence. And even if she did, that wasn’t actual evidence, it is a claim. A claim with ZERO evidence.

Even the 2012 notes from the therapist are not evidence — they are based on some vaguely similar story told by the same person.

If the woman testified under oath, that would become a form of “evidence”, although no court in the land would ever prosecute a person based solely on the “eyewitness” testimony of someone claiming a crime was commited, without any evidence presented of said crime.

I’m actually kind of shocked at this woman’s story; she claims that in the aftermath of this event, she was traumatized for life. But even though she went into a field specifically dedicated to dealing with trauma, she never once, in 30 years, spoke to ANY health care professional about this severe trauma, and the trauma did not prevent her from finishing high school, doing well in college, continuing her education, and now being an educator for, what, 30 years?

The first “counseling”, and the only “counseling” we are told was for a marital problem, a marital problem that came 10 years into their marriage. At that counseling, her therapist recorded an incident where 4 males attacked her, none of them named.

If i had been nearly raped in high school, and was traumatized by it, and then spent 30 years hanging around people in the psychological profession, I’m pretty sure at some point I would have asked for counseling to get over the incident.

Someone needs to point out to the Democrats and press that sending Susan Collins the giant cardboard penis is sexual harassment.
