Laura Ingraham To End Her Syndicated (Radio) Show, Move To Podcast One

After seventeen years in syndication, Laura Ingraham will end her daily talk show at the end of the year while launching a new daily podcast through PodcastOne.

PodcastOne parent Courtside Entertainment Group has served as Ingraham’s syndicator since 2013. Ingraham says that the toll of hosting her nightly Fox News Channel program on top of the radio show and raising three children took a toll, “Although I will greatly miss my radio listeners and affiliates, working late nights and early mornings has taken a toll on my family life. Plus, my radio audience is smart, savvy and committed, and I know most will follow my new show in the format that is revolutionizing the audio world–digital podcasting.”

Ingraham began her syndicated show with Westwood One in 2001. It moved to Talk Radio Network in 2004 until the end of 2012.

I haven't listened to AM talk radio in ten years minimum.

Long days, morning show, nightly Fox show. Maybe fewer affiliates than before. She can still reach a lot of people via podcast.

My first thought is that she probably wants to spend much more time with her three young kids. I'm sure she's doing very well financially with her FNC show, which is only one hour per night, as opposed to three hours each morning. (I realize there's a lot of advance prep time for both shows)

I'd like to give her podcast a try, although I admit I have no idea how that works. Do you go to iTunes to get each show?

Some other comments on this thread have me worried. I *really* hope AM radio conservative talk shows aren't dying...
