On Thursday, President Trump gave a speech addressing the administration’s efforts to modernize the Department of Veterans Affairs. But for some reason, the Presidential Seal and the White House logo were blurred out of the Facebook Live video, something which didn’t go unnoticed.
“The video of Trump giving gratitude to veterans has the Presidential Seal obscured. Pretty straightforward to do, like what Google does for faces and license plates on Streetview, but requires dedicated compute resources – it doesn’t happen by accident,” said a post at Free Republic. “Probably somebody inside the company thinking they’re doing something cheeky. This kind of stuff should bounce back on them legally and civilly in a big way.”

So, why did Facebook blur out the seal? Does it now violate their “community standards?” Or does someone at Facebook think it’s hate speech?
These day, who knows?
Writing at the Gateway Pundit, Jim Hoft asked: “What the hell Facebook?”
One Reddit user noted: “Progressive Liberals blocking out the real world because they can’t handle it.”

Meanwhile, Facebook claims it’s making headway against “fake news.”
According to CNBC:
Facebook on Thursday released its latest report on the removal of harmful content from its services, one day after a bombshell report that detailed how the company avoided and deflected blame in the public conversation around its handling of Russian interference and other misuses of its social network.
The company said it removed more than 1.5 billion fake accounts between April and September, compared to nearly 1.3 billion accounts removed the six months prior. Facebook also removed 5.4 million pieces of hate speech, compared to 4.1 million between October and March.
This Community Standards Enforcement Report is the Facebook’s latest update since its first report, which was released in May.
Maybe that explains it. Or not.

That makes #129.........reasons why I have never had a fb account, and I don’t see myself getting one in the forseeable future either. And yet, my life goes on...and quite well I might add.

Removed 1.5 billion accounts? I simply cannot believe a college kid could have created this. It’s government owned and operated.
I may or may not know a guy, who is a Freeper, who may or may not have a fake account so he can go to liberal sites and talk smack without fear of having his house torched. He may identify as a black woman, possibly. Good times.
I watched it and didn’t see any “blurring.”
Not the Youtube version, the FB version............
Just what I was saying for years. Everything Facebook is you can do through emails and forwarding. The only difference is you have more privacy with the emails, for example, your ID and information isn’t put on public display for anyone to look up like it is with Facebook.

FB is supposed to have 2 billion accounts.
When I heard this yesterday, I was puzzled by the number of FAKE accounts. 1.5 billion, which leaves only 500 million true accounts.
I say WOw, yet nobody appears to be shocked.

I get what it WAS designed for but it’s been hijacked by it’s own creator IMO. A lot of folks use it to keep up with family and friends in other parts of the country/world. Others just use it for an opportunity to say “look at me”.

FWIW...
Almost any “celebrity” on Facebook has at least half a dozen or more FB accounts/pages, some of which will accept likes, and others will accept friend requests.
One of the little SJW’s among the thousands on FB’s payroll took it upon her/his/itself to inject this little hate action into the video.
When he/she/it is found he/she/it will be given a raise.
