Republican Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul offered a potential solution to the State of the Union problem that has been front and center for the past few days — President Donald Trump bypasses the House of Representatives entirely and delivers the speech from the Senate floor.
“Senator McConnell is in charge of the Senate,” Paul tweeted Thursday morning. “If Mrs. Pelosi refuses to allow the president to deliver the State of the Union in the House, I propose we move it to the Senate and make it happen!”

Additionally, that same article gives the President this authority over Congress; ...he may, on extraordinary Occasions, convene both Houses,or either of them, and in Case of Disagreement between them, with Respect to the Time of Adjournment, he may adjourn them to such Time as he shall think proper... So if the President wishes, he can call Congress into joint session.
Finally, Article 1 Section 3 of the U.S. Constitution designates The Vice President of the United States shall be President of the Senate... As President of the Senate, the Vice President of the United States can invite the President of the United States to address a joint session of Congress.
The bottom line is that the President of the United can deliver State of the Union information to Congress when, where, and how he feels it appropriate. No Speaker of the House has any say over this. For Pelosi to try to do so is treason!

Senate is smaller yes, but we really don’t need Pelosi and the House Dems. Not to mention they’d probably boycott anyway.

As far as clapping, she’ll sit on her hands, like last year. As for her facial expressions, her last botox treatment has taken care of that. I thought it pretty funny last year, that, just like a bunch of middle schoolers, all the democrats had agreed, beforehand, NOT to applaud.
