I am waiting for all the networks to start talking up a “red wave”.
That only applies to tiny jurisdictions with less than 400 registered voters and the jurisdiction has to agree in advance to hold the election by mail. That wasn’t the case here.

so I sand behind my original comment.
I wasn’t aware of that nonpartisan thing from 1914-72. It seems to have worked to the benefit of GOP/Conservatives, rats took over a previously conservative legislature when it ended in 1972, apparently the first time the rats/libs had the State Senate since before the civil war.
Anyway, great news after a terrible election in MN. Trump took 57% of this district according to Our Campaigns (they have the % the winner got but not a full breakdown) so winning it was rather necessary.
Gotta hold this guys state House seat now which shouldn’t be an issue, it did elect a rat in 2012 however. It was 2-1 for Trump.
Carlton county is very interesting, the Finnishest place in the country I think. I was hoping Trump would carry it, almost did. However it decisively went to the rat in this contest.
Trump carried the district handily so we would have had no excuse for not winning it. The rats should be disappointed cause they’d had it for so long but they have no reason other than their own ignorance and overconfidence to be apoplectic.

This last season (minus the finale) was excellent. The finale was hot garbage...save yourself the 30 minutes.

And not only was it gay...it was done very stupidly.
