Trey Gowdy is an empty tin can. He makes a lot of noise. He’s a cross between James Trafficant and Joe Dirt.

I too think Trey Gowdy would make a fine replacement for Senator Graham.

I didn’t vote for him last time, and I’m going to do everything I can in MY little circle to get others to vote against him too.

It appears Lindsey change his position for re-election. As soon as he is re-elected he will turn against Trump. I will vote against him in the primary, I have a long memory.

Thanks. Being in Texas, I can't do much about him.

There is still time to evaluate the "new and improved" Senator Graham, the one that discovered those things dangling betwixt his legs were MALE BALLS.

I think the death of 'brokeback mcpain' improved Senator Graham to manhood.

I never thought I'd think and say good things about Senator Graham, nor did I think, I'd ever write the words, "Senator Graham".

If he doesn't back slip, I'd get behind his re-election...WOW...I said it and did not puke in my own mouth.

Trey Gowdy is a name that comes to mind,

Trey Gowdy blows donkeys. I'd take the old Linda Graham before that phony, low life prick howdy gowdy. Gowdy was all talk, talk, talk.

It was gowdy that allowed her highness the 11 hour farce in public instead of a closed door, under oath, real grilling by professionals regarding Benghazi.

Gowdy didn't have the balls to call out paul ryan, by name.

OK, gimme the name of someone good who can best Graham in the primary...otherwise you’re just blowing smoke.

This is a recurring problem with these RINOS, no decent opponent willing to step forward and contest the seat.

Hey Mac, I'm in favor of the new and improved Senator Graham and don't want her, errr, I slipped, him to have a primary opponent.

Unless Senator Graham has a 'lopadickoffame' operation and reverts to brokeback valley boitoy, I'm with Senator Graham.

We will see what happens...man I love that saying, wonder where I picked it up?

It’s pretty obvious what’s motivated Linda 2.0

Linda is Linda, once she is re-elected she will revert to making Mitt McCain look like a little me-me with back stabs. Linda knows if he crosses Trump too much he will get a primary challenge and her past behavior has been very leftist. A leopard doesn’t change its spots. Be wary...

Graham is nothing more than a communist globalist gun grabbing Whig that ought be primaryed ASP he does not now nor has he ever espouse principled limited constitutional conservative government.
His kissing up to the Alt-Right Populist and the Donald doesn’t change who he is or what he’s about if we are push forward the message of liberty and all that she stands for then we must rid ourselves of the Whigs like him once and for all.

It seems doubtful that Graham will have a strong (if you call past challengers strong which I do NOT) primary challenger this time. He’s a crafty little bugger.

We have lots of good, strong Conservatives in South Carolina that would be light years better than linda in the Senate.

South Carolina having open primaries is the problem. During the primaries, several people, some much better than linda, will run opposing linda. But on primary voting day the RATS cross over in droves and vote for linda. linda wins the primary and, since SC is a strong red state, goes on the win the election.

The SC legislature is beginning to grow some balls and is making noise about going to closed primaries.

Can't happen soon enough for me and lots of other Republican voters. But until the law is changed, linda has a job for life and she knows it.

Obviously open primaries helps him.

But I have to disparage the caliber of primary opponents, Lee Bright and friends (2014) and Buddy Witherspoon (2008) were not people I expected to have a chance against an incumbent Senator, especially one who is a strong campaigner like Linds. Someone who’s won statewide or a member of the House delegation would have a better chance, none had the guts to run. And now with Lind’s defense of Kav endearing him to the President, he’s safe for the moment.

2002 was the real chance when it was an open seat, and he was unopposed! Back then I guess his Rep was good with conservatives, Clinton impeachment manager and all.

I agree with you on Bright and Witherspoon. However I feel there are other folks who could be as strong as Lindsey or maybe even stronger. But considering the way the primaries are set up these folks don’t stand a chance.

Hopefully the state legislature will continue to grow balls and will close the primaries. That’s about the only way a challenger will stand a chance.

Not anymore. The Dems hate Lindsey Graham for his embrace of Trump and his Kavanaugh speech. They’d likely cross over and vote for someone else.
