Donald Trump still sees conspiracy in Mueller probe
Collusion News Network ^ | 9:48 PM ET, Tue March 26, 2019 | Chris Cillizza

Washington (CNN)President Donald Trump was on Capitol Hill on Tuesday, just 36 hours removed from one of the best moments of his presidency: Attorney General Bill Barr announcing -- via a letter to Congress -- that special counsel Robert Mueller did not establish any conspiracy or coordination between the President's 2016 campaign and the Russian government.

And yet, despite that clear political victory, Trump proved old habits die hard. He insisted the investigation, which was begun by the FBI and taken over by Mueller after Trump fired FBI Director James Comey, was the result of some sort of targeted effort by high-ranking officials to bring him down. Here's the exchange:

TRUMP: "It went very high up, and it started fairly low, but with instructions from the high up. This should never happen to a president again. We can't allow that to take place." REPORTER: "Do you think it reached the West Wing of the Obama White House?" TRUMP: "I don't want to say that, but I think you know the answer."

As with almost all his conspiracy theories, Trump offered zero proof of his claim, which, if true, would be a massive deal. Think what he is alleging: The outgoing administration somehow targeted the incoming President simply because they disagreed with his policies. That's a HUGE story (if true).

Trump has long harbored -- and promulgated -- the unproven and, to date, fact-free idea that there was (and is) some sort of "deep state" conspiracy against him. "The Deep State and the Left, and their vehicle, the Fake News Media, are going Crazy - & they don't know what to do," Trump tweeted last fall. "The Economy is booming like never before, Jobs are at Historic Highs, soon TWO Supreme Court Justices & maybe Declassification to find Additional Corruption. Wow!"

And it IS TRUE.

(That was after they tried to rig the election)

Just because you look stupid doen’t mean you are really so dense that you don’t see the Obama/ Clinton plot to remove our duly elected president.

Well if there is nothing to worry about Chris, let the investigation begin. I mean after all, the truth is important is it not? What are you afraid will be discovered Chris? No doubt if something is uncovered you will find a conspiracy theory to push, just like the Russian collusion conspiracy theory that you and CNN have been pushing for over 2 years now.

Trump could appoint “Special Persecutors’ to investigate this attempted Coup. But he won’t. Instead he will chicken out and we will be subjected to two years of ‘Senate Hearings’ that will produce not a single indictment.

Well lets have a 2-plus year investigation by special counsel to determine it.

How can anyone not question his appointment. You didn’t need a special council to lay out the case for Russian Interference. That was done just before President Trump took Office. Any further discussions should have gone to Congress....but the President should NEVER have been part of that discussion. They didn’t have the least inkling that he was colluding with Russia.

It must be wonderful to inhabit your own reality. There is enough proof known NOW to perp-walk NOW.

"If it weren’t for President Obama we might not have done the intelligence community assessment that we did that set up a whole sequence of events which are still unfolding today including Special Counsel Mueller’s investigation. President Obama is responsible for that. It was he who tasked us to do that intelligence community assessment in the first place."

Chris, I see your self-awareness level is non existent.

Here’s what the media moron posted on Feb 22 of this year

We know, because it was the unanimous conclusion of the intelligence community, that Russia sought to interfere in the election to help Trump and hurt Hillary Clinton, believing the billionaire businessman was better for them.

We know that multiple people within Trump’s orbit — former national security adviser Michael Flynn, former foreign policy adviser George Papadopoulos, former Trump lawyer Michael Cohen — have all pleaded guilty to making false statement to either Congress or federal investigators (or both) regarding the nature and breadth of their contacts with the Russians during the campaign.

We know that former Trump political adviser Roger Stone has been charged with lying to Congress about his knowledge of and dealings with WikiLeaks, the website that served as a clearinghouse for emails the Russians stole from the servers of the Democratic National Committee and Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta.

We know that many of the contacts between Trump associates and the Russians date back to the spring of 2016 (at least), which is when Papadopoulos’ bragging to an Australian diplomat that he knew Russia had dirt on Clinton set in motion what has come to be special counsel Robert Mueller’s probe.

We know that in June 2016, three of the top officials in Trump’s campaign — Donald Trump Jr., Jared Kushner and Paul Manafort — met with Russians, a meeting the top Trump brass took under the promise of “dirt” on Clinton.

We know that Manafort, the campaign chairman at the time, shared polling information with a Russian with known ties to Russia’s intelligence operation.

Now you tell me who’s the believer in conspiracy theories
