Not that there was much good to Carter to begin with, but I’ve always thought he has never gotten over the asskicking he got from Reagan, and that turned him into the nasty, bitter, phony, self-righteous old cuss he has been for the last forty-years.
He makes this bold statement, but admits that alleged Russian interference hasn’t been quantified. He says an investigation would prove that, but his investigation hasn’t happened, so how can he be so sure? He can’t, but his own self-importance led him to throw this bomb out there which, he knows, plenty of people will believe.
I felt sorry for him a while back when he got his cancer diagnosis. I take that back.
