Where’d y’all head out to yesterday for some roamin’ around? Did Gizmo pick up any interesting scents to track?

We went to Chisolm Trail Park yesterday. Gizmo wanted to roam around in the tall grass so we did. I kept him on a leash so he wouldn't try to lose me.

I did have my radio with me listening to the weather radio broadcast. The moment they issued a t-storm warning for our location, we ran to the pickup and high-tailed it back home.

Thankfully there were no power cuts. Just some rain and lightning. That was about it.

We have more showers and storms in the forecast for later today. We'll see how things go.

Hopefully things are settling down in Alaska. I know the last several days have been rather hectic up there with fires and winds.

Good move keeping him on the leash. He does like to lose you in the tall grass. LOL

Glad the storms weren’t too bad yesterday.
It rained across north and west TN but, as usual, it fizzled out right before it reached us. Nary a drop here.
Maybe tomorrow we’ll be lucky but we aren’t holding our breath.

I, too, hope things are calming down in AK. The smoke wasn’t as thick as it was a couple of days ago so maybe with the extra firefighters, they’re beginning to get a handle on the fires.

Hi, radu!...and EGC!

Just saw your posts right before shutting down for the night. We had lots of clouds and a sprinkle or two that lowered the temp. to 72 instead of 85, but didn’t get enough rain to even measure. I will take the lower temp. though.

Glad Gizmo didn’t get lost in the tall grasses yesterday. He’d be hard to keep up with. Peaches is out for the 2nd time tonight, and I’m going to leave him there unless he gets into a fight with another cat. LOL!

Lucky you having enough clouds and rain to cool you off. We had some clouds but no cool-off was to be had. Steamy-hot when I went out to run a few errands. Just took some trash out a few minutes ago and it’s still steamy. We’re ready for a break.

Good luck leaving Peaches out all night! Maybe no one will show up for him to fight with.

We still have huge fires, but 200 firefighters arrived from the lower 48 to help. Lots of homes lost to the north fire.
