It’s been said before, but it needs to be said again.
If people were really, truly believers in climate change/global warming/whatever, then they’d be out protesting China and India for their pollution and emissions.
The fact that they’re talking solely about the United States shows that they’re well intentioned but amazingly ignorant at best and lying scum at worst.
In Junior High School in the 1970s, my science textbook warned us about how pollution was going to destroy us by the 1980s. The textbook had a picture of a family of four walking down the street. The sky was dark gray (pollution, not rain clouds) and each member of the family was wearing a gas mask. That’s what was in store for us in ten years. Even as adolescents we knew how ridiculous and overdone the predictions were. The tactics of the doomsayers have not changed since then.
I had that same textbook. And of course, every commercial break on TV had the crying Indian at the landfill.
The earth survived disaster in the 1980s when the Harmonic Convergence groups all met at ancient ruins over the world and Stonehenge, stood in a circle touched hands, leaned back and went “A-H-H-H-H-H-H” to restore the earth to it’s natural balance and rotation.
Then there was a time in the 1960s when a guru in India came up with a horoscope that showed a planetary alignment that was supposed to wrack the Earth with earthquakes!
All the Occults went bonkers over that one! This was before Booksellers started relabeled Occult books as “New Age’.
So many disasters that did not happen, so little time..
I was in elementary school at that time, and remember “consensus” that we were going to freeze to death by the 1990s.

2. A few decades back, progressives insisted on ending involuntary commitment of mentally ill, assuming the mentally ill would voluntarily seek & submit to treatment. Now we instead see promotion of self-harm (broadly speaking) and demands for social acceptance & facilitation thereof.
3. To most commoners, science/technology is magic; they cannot discern real from unreal in those spaces. Hence “Earth is warming so fast we’re all going to die in a decade” is just as believable as “talk to me face-to-face over great distance via the magic glass slate in your pocket”.
Ha! I remember watching a video warning of looming tectonic disaster when all the planets aligned.

I think it is shameful that the left is OK with using an apparent mental case kid to push this crap. I imagine the kid will never be normal after all this. I suppose that getting out of Sweden is a bonus though.
