Rising space power China on Monday attacked the newly created U.S. Space Force as a “direct threat to outer space peace and security."
Foreign ministry spokesman Geng Shuang told reporters that China is “deeply concerned about it and resolutely opposed to it."

None of you have mentioned the following fact: During the recent reorganization of the Chinese Military starting in 2016, the Chinese established the Aerospace Support Force within the Strategic Support Force. The ASF controls the Chinese ASAT weaponry.
There’s room for everybody up there. Go out and stake your claim!

The VERY REASON POTUS created the Space Force is because China and the Soviet Union ARE threats to outer space peace!
I still hope that General Buck Rogers is the first Commanding General of the US Space Force!
It could be if we had the will to do so. History is replete with examples of how China cannot feed their own people. If we stopped sending them food aid mass famine would undoubtedly follow, most likely within half a growing season. China needs the USA WAY more than the USA needs China. And they know it.
Thanks for the tip. I’ll watch Mars. On a side note, are you as annoyed as I am at the trend to make these show seasons shorter and shorter? I noticed Mars is only 6 episodes per season. The Watchman was basically a miniseries with only 8 episodes and no real plan for a 2nd season. Sopranos was 12-14 episodes.
Somehow they were able to make 22-24 episodes a season back in the day, an hour long each. I just guess that they do this because there are more venues for content thanks to cable and streaming, and it gives cast and crew a chance to work on 3 or 4 projects per year.

YES! On top of that is a very long duration between seasons. And also annoying to get deep into a series... and then they cancel it! I really like the Netflix series "Mars". They were all set to film the 3rd season, and now they announced it is cancelled. Arghh! At least they announced the 2nd season of "Lost in Space", now airing on Netflix.
Unfortunately they make all the stuff that we buy. 90 percent of medical drugs and medical aids. They need our pork (all their pigs got sick); but we need medicine.
