Anti-government protests in Iran have entered a third day today after Tehran finally abandoned its pretence and admitted shooting down a passenger jet.
Dozens of protesters gathered and chanted slogans at a Tehran university today amid a wave of public anger after the plane was shot down with dozens of Iranians on board.
A string of celebrities have also turned on the regime and two state TV hosts have quit over Tehran's three days of false reporting on the crash.
Leading Iranian film director Masoud Kimiai has pulled out of Tehran's annual Fajr Film Festival in protest, saying he was 'on the side of the public'.

There was a news blackout for a YEAR on the Iranian protests. Trump tweeted to Iran to not hurt the demonstrators and now we finally get a story.
Poverty, hunger, limited civil liberties, beatings, goon squads, medieval dress codes...etc.etc. The Iranian people have tolerated much. Could it be one admitted lie from the mullah regime that chronically lies was the proverbial straw?
The firing of the missile on a plane filled with a number of Iranians, whom we may presume to be Shi’ite, and the denials at first of culpability by the ayatollahs who are also Shi’ite, would reveal a great hypocrisy when the admission finally was made, Shi’ite Muslims are as expendable in the name of preserving the Islamic Republic of Iran as any apostate or infidel.
The fit has hit the Shan.
I believe Iran has reached the tipping point. In rapid succession you are witnessing its rapid collapse as the members of its leading institutions abandon the mullahs and join the protesters. It will be quick but the Iranian people should take care in what they choose to replace it with.

And to think, their daddies are the ones who overthrew the Shah and welcomed in the mullahs. One generation of moslem oppression was enough!
