LIVE THREAD: Democrat Presidential Debate in South Carolina
CBS News ^ | February 25, 2020 | Reno89519

Posted on 02/25/2020 4:31:55 PM PST by Reno89519

Seven Democratic candidates for president will meet on the debate stage in Charleston, South Carolina, in a debate hosted by CBS News. It's the last time the candidates will face off before Saturday's critical South Carolina primary — and the last one before voters in 16 states and territories go to the polls on Super Tuesday, March 3.

"CBS Evening News" anchor and managing editor Norah O'Donnell and "CBS This Morning" co-host Gayle King will moderate the debate, joined in questioning by "Face the Nation" moderator and senior foreign affairs correspondent Margaret Brennan, chief Washington correspondent Major Garrett and "60 Minutes" correspondent Bill Whitaker.

“It’s a...well, I can think of a number of compound word descriptions that shouldn’t be used by a lady or in mixed company.”

Schiff-show?

“verything in DARPA is top secret”

100% nonsense ... i’ve visited multiple private companies receiving DARPA grants for advanced projects that weren’t secret ...

also, DARPA funded the invention of the Internet, i.e., DARPAnet, the very first Internet, and multiple universities with various kinds of military research funding participated, and not just the departments with that funding. There was also such a big clammer by other universities and super computer centers to joinDARPAnet, that the NSF was funded to build and operate the NSFnet, which everyone else could join, and NSFnet was the precursor to the public internet ...

DARPA also funded the creation of the sockets interface in Unix that allowed arbitrary computer applications to utilize these early networks, applications like email and ftp ... there was nothing secret about sockets, email or ftp either ...

“Did Biden just say “DARPA invented the internet”?”

DARPA DID indeed fund the invention of the internet: the very first Internet was called DARPAnet ... look it up ...

New drinking game: finish your drink if Biden works into an answer that he either a.) created bill or passed legislation for said issue b.) knows a world leader personally c.) has been fighting for issue discussed for 30+ years.

Excellent job at crystallizing Biden's stock answers!

Oh Joe. If 150 million had been killed by guns since 2007, there’d be no dems left because the good guys have the guns. This poor guy.

He hasn’t been the same since that arrest in South Africa, and after he negotiated the Paris Accords with Deng Xiaoping.

I sure hope ol’ Joe wins that Senate seat.

Terrific! Best post of the debate.

This just came in ... After the debate Joe Biden claimed he gave God the idea to create the universe, he knows God personally..

Can’t wait to celebrate the day this corrupt POS drops out.

Yes, when I saw her I figured she was just there to promote Orca’s preferred candidate, whoever that is.

Warren might be Deceit, also. Fake Indian. Fake fired mother-to-be.

Steyer could also be hypocrisy. Made a billion selling coal and oil. Wants to ban coal and oil.

Maybe you should look it up. :) It was first developed when DARPA was called ARPA (I know, I worked for them) and the network was called arpa-net or arpanet. There never was a DARPAnet.
