Turkey’s Erdogan Says Europe Borders Open as Refugees Gather.....

Erdogan said Saturday his country’s borders with Europe were open, thousands of refugees gathered at the frontier with Greece.

“We will not close the gates to refugees,” Erdogan said in a speech in Istanbul. “The European Union has to keep its promises.”

The move by Turkey to open its border, first announced Thursday, was seen in Greece as a deliberate attempt to pressure European countries as tensions ratcheted up between Turkey and Syria.

It would be a dramatic departure from Turkey’s current policy. Under a 2016 deal, Turkey agreed to stem the tide of refugees to Europe in return for financial aid.

Turkey currently hosts Syrian refugees, and many fleeing war and poverty in Asia, Africa, and the Middle East use it as a staging post and transit point to reach Europe, usually through neighboring Greece.

On Saturday, small groups managed to get across into Greece clandestinely. The vast majority were from Afghanistan.

We learnt the border was open and we headed there. But we saw it was closed, and we found a hole in the fence and went through it,” said Ali Nikad, a 17-year-old Iranian who made it into Greece overnight with a group of friends.

Greece and Bulgaria increased security at their borders with Turkey. In Athens, Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis convened an emergency meeting of top cabinet, military, and coast guard officials Saturday morning on the issue.

NATO envoys held emergency talks Friday at the request of Turkey, a NATO member. While urging deescalation in Idlib, NATO offered no further assistance

Why can’t Turkey take these “refugees”?

Must read link: German “humanitarian” learns truths about Muslim refugees.......to her infinite regret.

https://arbeitsgruppefluchtundmenschenrechte.wordpress.com/2018/02/11/interview-with-rebecca-sommer-english/

She enumerates all the negatives we’ve observed for years.

Too bad she got woked the hard way....thru horrendous personal experiences.

BTW, she mentions Somali refugees as the worst of the worst.

The Turks are the unwanted stepchild of Europe because they’re Muslim.

Realistically, the only way to stop this invasion is to start shooting people. But we are too civilized for that, so nations will fall to poverty and disease. As Bernie Sanders said, years ago, (approximately) we obviously can’t have open borders as the entire would swamp us. That applies pretty much everywhere, especially in the high benefit socialistic countries like Germany and Sweden.

Edirne is in Turkish Thrace. Better known as Adrianople to history buffs.

The migrants are stuck in a no man’s land and no one wants them.

Funny how NATO simply ignores this invasion of other NATO members.

Some of the refugees are from Iran. Why in the world would they wish to leave their country. Just over forty years ago, their parents removed the Shah, took Americas hostage, and pretty much told the West to bugger off.

Well, shooting just one despot, Erdogan, would help a lot.

If the Europeans would just learn a little history, they might learn of the Moorish occupation. It was just lovely. It took a hundred year war to get rid of them. Nah! It can’t happen again.

Allies do not threaten each other. It’s time to treat Turkey as they deserve - build a big, strong wall at their border, one with no doors or gates.

Why in most cases the Western civilizations and (m)uslims don’t mix, never have and never will with few exceptions. Here is an excerpt of a highly suggested and recommended article you should read. The rest of this article may be found by Googling for it and it hits the nail right on dead cener.

An eye-opening interview with Rebecca Sommer, a human rights activist working with refugees and immigrants in Germany.
N.O-S .: Rebecca, you have worked for many years with refugees and immigrants, you are a well-known human rights activist. Already years before the refugee wave 2015, you was a well-known person fighting for unlimited admission of these people to Germany. What influenced the change of your views?

Rebecca Sommer: I would like to point out that I have never endorsed “unlimited” admission of migrants, because it is impossible for any country to adopt indefinitely. I am a humanist and human rights activist. For the first years I believed that people who come here are real refugees and are happy that they will be safe now and because of that they will show a good faith in order to adapt here and to integrate. But with time, step by step an unpleasant awakening came about.

The reasons for this were so complex that I just could not ignore them anymore. For sure, one of the main turning points was 2015 New Year’s Eve in Cologne. Then I finally had to admit to myself that that this behavior suits the overwhelming majority of Muslims, the way they see things, with whom I had to deal with in my life. In that moment I said to myself: “Rebecca, now you have to pull the emergency breaks, last but not least because as a human rights advocate you are oblied to focus also on women’s rights, with your responsibility to us, as a woman. I have tried to justify these constantly repeated patterns of behavior and mind set of most of the refugees, their way of perceiving the world, which is based on their religion, Islam, and their culture, for example in such a way – that they are new here. I believed that their medieval views would change over time. I placed great trust in our libertarian, equitable european and western values, and I naively thought that every person must welcome them and take them on.

Third world hellholes have two choices - they can either make changes so people want to live in their own countries OR they can dump the refuse on the rest of us.

If Europe doesn’t overcome their Christian guilt, they’ll become one more 3rd world hellhole with their citizens trying to escape.

That’s where they’re coming from....Erdogan uses them as cannon fodder to get Nato and Europe to bend at the knee to his demands. Send more money, support him in Syria or he’ll open the gates and flood their countries with them. (and you can count on him sending his ISIS thugs with them)
