Hollywood studios are reportedly bracing to lose billion of dollars in ticket sales in Asia and other countries due to fears surrounding the coronavirus as major blockbusters including Mulan, No Time to Die, and F9 (Fast & Furious 9) are set to roll out around the world.
Variety reported that major studios are preparing for a dip in moviegoing in China, South Korea, Japan, and other countries hit by the coronavirus. But these fears appear so far to be based on speculation since the trade publication cited anonymous studio executives who said they are taking a wait-and-see approach as the number of hotspots expands.

Be a shame if they all went belly up.
Upside.
For Disney they should be doing pay-per-view on their streaming services and releasing them to home viewing in the areas under quarantine. While this will hurt the theaters themselves (and may ultimately, irrevocably, change the market outright for theater going) they’ll get their millions directly.
(Although contracts/exhibition licenses may block that but i’m sure they could pay for the privilege)
They dont make a living from me. The last movie I went to see....... downton abby with my mom before that.......... ummmmm I remember seeing beauty and the beast with hubs.....I see movies as 2 or 3 hours of my life I’ll never get back
Gee.. sorry about your luck! /s
I tried.
I really tried.
But, I just dont feel bad about it...nope, not a bit.
I do want to see F9.
With me being 5’18” you can understand why I hate theaters and airplanes ALREADY.
Yeah, what a pity. I haz a sad.
Winning!!
“Report: Hollywood Studios Brace to Lose Billions in Asia over Coronavirus”
sweet ... if it’s true ...
I promise to shed 1 tear when that happens.
Poor Hollyweird, I pay no money to see the movies that they produce. Hollyweird caters to Chinese censorship already For example Mulan had to strike the kissing seen as it would not be cultural symbiotic for the Chinese to see Mulan kissing. Women are viewed as meaningless in the cultural norms for the time. Mulan is just an adapted version of the animated feature.
they should take advantage of the hiatus, and release a director’s cut version of world war z.
Welp, I'm over it.
Too bad, so sad.
Every cloud has a silver lining.
Die, Hollywood, Die!
