The Angels singer, 46, and his next-door neighbour, legendary Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy, 76, were once bitter enemies over a plan to build a super-basement underneath Robbies mansion.
But Robbie says the two are now in harmony.
He denied hilarious reports that he was blasting out songs by Jimmys ex-bandmate Robert Plant and Black Sabbath to annoy his neighbour, but said he would have loved to have played pranks on him.
Robbie and Jimmy first clashed in 2014 over the basement scheme. Jimmy told planning chiefs he feared vibrations from the work would damage his Grade I listed home in Holland Park, west London. Kensington and Chelsea council rejected Robbies plans twice but eventually approved them in December on condition the builders used only hand tools.
Robbie, who lives at the mansion with his wife Ayda Field, 40, and their four children, later apologised for comparing Jimmys behaviour to someone with a mental illness. Asked if their drama was over, Robbie said: Im not feuding with anybody these days.
The singer, who found fame with the group Take That, was speaking to Sirius XM to promote his upcoming shows at the Encore Theatre at the Wynn Las Vegas resort.
Robbie told US online broadcaster Sirius XM: I want to build a basement in my house because its a really sound investment idea and the right honourable Jimmy Page, who lives next door, doesnt want me to do that.
When asked if that was because of building noise, he said: Yes. And I think he thinks its going to damage his house and I can promise him its not. But heres the thing, Jimmy Page lives next door.
When asked about stories of him blasting music to upset Jimmy, Robbie said someone claiming to be a neighbour had left a comment underneath an article saying Ive seen Robbie Williams dressed as Robert Plant with a pillow underneath his T-shirt blasting out Robert Plant songs and Black Sabbath songs.
Robbie said that although it was clearly a joke, the story was spread nationwide.
He told the broadcaster: Now listen, I thought that story was hilarious, so I didnt mind that being out there at all. Alas, its not true.
Well, you already knew I was insane!
I’m on Jimmy Page’s side. The guy was an amazing guitarist and songwriter, and Led Zeppelin is legendary.
What street in London is that?
Some relative of my moms husband was a record executive. He lived next door to someone from Led Zeppelin.
My mom told me she heard Mr. Zeppelin was a nice guy and good neighbor.
As long as there is reefer to be smoked, Keef will outlive everyone.......
Super basement? Please, please tell me they’re not making a movie about it.
Yeah you’re not all there :)
Reminds me of when i went to vegas with 12 cops in their late 20s
that was beyond sick.
great bachelor party.
I always leave them when the prostitutes come.
Doesn’t bother me what another man does for fun but that was never my scene. Usually dating someone at the time anyway so i went and played slots and the tables :)
Some great atlantic city bachelor parties too
they found me passed out on the boardwalk at 5am.
they left me. They went looking for me but i guess they were good with me sleeping on the boardwalk the rest of the morning :)
Ghosts are trapped souls who need to pay a debt. People are fearful of ghosts but need to relax and ask them how to help. There are 20 ghosts in Ventura, CA and a bunch in San Francisco. Sure we can go, talk to them and ask them what debt needs to be paid. But they would avoid us, too. Sad. Moral of the story: pay all your debts before dying.
And you learned this how? Or, were you told it directly by the spirit(s) you’ve interacted with?
It is given unto man once to die, and after that, the judgment. There are no ghosts — i.e., human spirits — but there certainly are spirits who masquerade as such.
