Looting leads to shooting, and that’s why a man was shot and killed in Minneapolis on Wednesday night - or look at what just happened in Louisville with 7 people shot. I don’t want this to happen, and that’s what the expression put out last night means....
....It was spoken as a fact, not as a statement. It’s very simple, nobody should have any problem with this other than the haters, and those looking to cause trouble on social media. Honor the memory of George Floyd!

I am glad that disgusting cop was arrested and I hope he is tried for murder. Before you attack me, make sure you see the actual video. Tired of our whole damned country believing that everyone with a badge - and now the TSA too - are heroes, above the law, delighting in civil forfeiture, and arresting people willy-nilly. And I’ve had just about enough of the badge-lickers on FR, too, all of whom scream “freedom, thanks to our overlords!”
I’m a big Trump fan but this sounds like a backtrack for sure. I don’t have any problem with the National Guard shooting looters if necessary to restore order, though I don’t remember the last time it was done.
Some bad optics though, when “looting leads to shooting” was apparently a phrase used by George Wallace and others in segregation times.
Twitter is having a field day over this.
When I have to justify a tweet to myself, it is over the line. Trump needs to walk this back.

You do need to address President Trump on this. Which Tweet did he mean, the original, implying looters would get shot, or the “walk back” Tweet, saying he didn’t mean that?
“Looting leads to shooting” should stand as a warning to the scum who think they should profit at the expense of innocents. Minneapolis (and other targeted areas) should position snipers on the roofs in target areas and declare open season on looters with no criminal liability — period.
So, whiners, if you don’t want to get shot then don’t go there...stay home. Life is so much nicer when people behave rationally and not like animals.

It is possible that President Trump meant that. But read the original Tweet / statement and if you’re honest, you could see he was making a statement telling the looters to back off or “face the consequences.” No virtue signalling so cut the crap!
True, but they moved on. The thing is, if 'twitter' voted, Bernie Sanders would have the nomination. But they don't.
Honor the memory of George Floyd? Didn’t he serve time for robbery and other offenses? He was no Martin Luther King.
Regardless of what Trump tweeted or did not tweet, or what he meant or did not mean, looters should be shot on sight and their supporters should be given absolutely no quarter.
It does not matter that the cop in question should be tried for murder. (And it appears he will be.) NOTHING excuses rioting nd looting like a bunch of uncivilized animals, ever.
