Canadian musician Neil Young said he didn't approve of President Trump's campaign playing two of his songs: "Rockin' in the Free World," and "Like a Hurricane" at his 4th of July Mount Rushmore rally.
Young voiced his support for a number of Sioux Indian protestors arrested at the event and tweeted that "It [wasn't] Ok"

Too bad his garage didn’t burn down first.
Did he disapprove before or after he deposited the check?
I liked a few of Neil’s pretty ballads like “Sugar Mountain”
Little love for his overly-fuzzed guitar rambling dreck
“Born in The USA” mocks the country. But everybody thinks it’s some sort of great anthem to America.
No politics. A nostalgic love song
It’s sad that most of the music recorded in the past half-century is unlistenable.
Only if youre old.

TS. You pay the fee you play the music.
Probably because the word “Sioux” was derived from a word which meant “little snakes” that was bestowed upon them by another Indian ethnic group and was NOT intended as a complement.
I am angry too, I cannot stand his whiny music.
I just love Needle and the Damage Done. Neil Young sings it, but the lyrics are poignant, so I like it anyway.
Bretbart reported otherwise concerning the RollongStones a few days ago. https://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3859665/posts
Next week Neal will be angry about something else.
I’m a Boomer, but I began to appreciate the music I post on FR when I was a teenager. Incidentally, President Trump (born 1946) is a big fan of Elton John and other pop stars of the Nixon-Ford-Carter era.
I would say he is not angry so much at Trump for playing his songs as he feels somehow embarrassed and a need to save face in his wacko lefty peer group.
Dont know what they were thinking, it was an anti POTUS GHW Bush Song.
Maybe that IS what they were thinking. Wasnt old man Bush a neverTrumper?
Like everyone else, I just came here to post Sweet Home Alabama lyrics.
I was thinking the same thing too, same with Trump playing the Rolling Stones after his rallies. He pays for the rights to use the music, and they will gladly take the money they get for him using their songs so they have no right to complain about him using them.
Too bad.. Don’t take the money then.
