A new poll in Florida shows Democratic challenger Joe Biden opening up a double-digit lead over President Trump as new cases of the coronavirus surge in the battleground state.
The presumptive Democratic presidential nominee tops Trump 51-38 percent among registered voters in Florida, according to a Quinnipiac University survey conducted July 16-20 and released on Thursday.
TEXAS TOSS-UP: NEW POLL SHOWS BIDEN, TRUMP TIED IN THE ONCE RUBY RED STATE
Bidens lead is larger than in other polls conducted this month in the Sunshine State, which indicated the former vice president leading the GOP incumbent in the White House by a margin of 6 to 10 points.
An average of the latest polls in Florida compiled by Real Clear Politics gives Biden a 7-point advantage over Trump. The most recent Fox News poll in Florida conducted last month showed Biden topping the president by 9 points.

only issue that matters is white guilt and that is what is feeding this frenzy
Biden is just the vessel
hussein would’ve never won without mass white support. Biden probably has that 2x now. If you look at the BLM protestors they’re almost entirely white. Women will vote for biden in incredible numbers as well.
Agreed. Biden is doing much better among whites than Clinton. If Trump loses, it will be because of whites. He is doing much better among blacks than in 2016, but it may not be enough. It is remarkably clear to me that he is losing right now, just based on his actions, even if we did not have any polls to look at.
You are taking pessimism (with no data) to a new level.
Really—please spend some time carefully analyzing the methodology of these polls.
That means crunching numbers on Excel spreadsheets.
It will be worth it for you.
Theyve given up even trying for believability with their propaganda. There is zero excitement for Biden in FL, while the exciting for Trump that Ive seen is higher than in 2016. Biden has a better chance of sprouting wings and flying that winning FL by 13 points. It will be a close one, so we still have to fight hard for the state, but this poll is ridiculous.
How many registered D and R?
I’m not the only one. Things look awful now. It’s not a matter of spreadsheets. Trump was doing fine until 2020. This is a whole different disaster. I know how polls work and random samples, so don’t start that. We’re clearly WAY behind now. That doesn’t mean it’ll be the case in 3 months.
About a week or so ago. I got a phone call telling me to stay on line and I would be connected to a townhall in Michigan.. subject: gov funds were coming in for victims of the flood and who would get it.
I listened as they started the meeting. Didnt stay on the phone very long...
I am not from Michigan. How did they get my phone # ... and why did they think I was from michigan
I dont know where you live, but here in Florida most white peoples I interact with and know WANT to be relieved of their wealth and property. They feel they were privileged and despise what they have. Biden is giving them an out to make them feel good about themselves. Utterly sickening. Mostly all well to do whites of which Florida has a lot.
My iPhone tells me if a caller is a political call or pollster. I’m sure I’m not the only one who ignores those calls!
Trump needs a game changer, and soon.
They can send me all their money—I will be happy to take it off their hands. Why wait until November?
President Hillary Clinton approves of this poll.
The first thing that comes to mind when someone says Biden is up by double digits, is Tara Reade...
I agree with you. When self-hate of oneself, ones country, ones wealth, ones property takes over we are truly finished as a country. I believe those attitudes are currently close to a majority. Utterly awful
And it goes to show that intensive propaganda pushing the same lies over and over again works. Americans will believe the lies when saturated with them.
You hit nail on head
Needs it ASAP
Joe, you got Florida in the bag. You dont even need to campaign there. Save it for Texas.
