JOHNSON CITY, Tenn — On September 12, 2020, at 7:20 pm, officers of the Johnson City Police Department responded to the intersection of State of Franklin Rd and Spring St to a report of a protester being struck by a vehicle.
The vehicle, reported by witnesses as a white Ford Expedition, had fled the scene. The pedestrian was transported to the Johnson City Medical Center for treatment of injuries sustained during the incident
.The Johnson City Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division continues to follow up on this case and seeks information regarding the incident. Anyone having information is requested to contact the Johnson City Police Department Criminal Investigations Division at (423) 434-6166 or to remain anonymous, Crime Stoppers at (423) 434-6158.

If the Georgia Gentleman Jogger could go on assault when he was being illegally detained why can’t these drivers do the same? These lynch mobs don’t mean well for the drivers, their passengers, or their property.

If you are blocking traffic or interfering with any other mode of transportation you are not engaged in a “peaceful protest”. Surrounding a car or preventing it from moving is kidnapping.
The driver in this case should be able to sue all the corporations funding BLM for any dent repairs and paint touch-ups needed.
