California; being flushed into the septic tank of history since 1991. Some say earlier.

This dolt should be gone within a few years but the Dems controlling the State are driving it into the ground. I live here and can’t wait to leave.

Every time I see our governor, Gruesome Newsom spout this kind of s**t, I laugh my butt off. If he really wants clean burning energy for motor vehicles, he would encourage the use of natural gas, one of the most inexpensive and clean burning fuels of which the US has a huge and readily available supply.

Instead, he demands use of electric vehicles. Well, Gruesome, just where do you think the electricity required to charge all of those batteries will come from? Not from California which has had an electricity supply shortage for many years due to idiots like you preventing the building of new power plants and the shutting down of nuclear power plants. Plus, what about all of the pollution that will be generated by those power plants, or do you really think that wind turbines and solar panels will fill the bill? You could fill the entire California desert area with solar panels and the only thing you would accomplish is the murder of millions of birds that transit the Pacific flyway every year.

I disagree. They will surpass Germany to become the world’s 4 biggest economy by 2035.

California already cannot keep the lights on when it get hot because they went down the rabbit hole of “renewable energy”. They refuse to build any nuclear or additional gas power stations. Exactly what do they think is going to charge all of these electric cars, fairy dust? Unicorn dung?

Where you gonna get the electricity to charge all those batteries? Where you gonna get the batteries? Where you gonna dispose of all those chemicals and toxic material?

So...everyone will buy electric cars, but won’t be able to afford the power there (if there IS any), leaving them immobile, broke, and dependent...sounds like a well-executed plan to me.

Despite the political party control of the state, governor still may not legislate. Then there is one other thing that the left has used since FDR .... the Commerce clause. Does gubnard’s executive order violate the US Constitution’s Commerce Clause?

My understanding is that he wants to ban gas & diesel cars, and go electric, while at the same time shutting down all the natural gas electric generating plants. He has already shut down, or is shutting down, all the nuclear plants.

So a state that already does not have enough generating capacity for peak periods will have even higher demand and lower generating capacity.

Welcome to the 3rd world.

How can one man bind a state for 15 years? Doesn’t really sound like a representative republic to me.

“ Unbelievable. Another reason to flee California, and leave the politics there.....”

Yeh, for sure. I haven’t been to California in over ten years and have no intent to ever go again. But, the problem is it’s less costly for auto manufacturers to build all their vehicles to California standards than to have a California standard and a rest of USA standard. That’s how And why CAFE standards were set prior to Trump.

Another reason to flee California, and leave the politics there.....

Leave the politics? Ask Orygone how that's worked for them. Washington. Kolorado. Austin. Boise. Tulsa.

They can't do it. They're too stupid. Or lazy. Or corrupt. Or stoned........

Car dealers will move operations to states just across the state borders.
