Pinkerton said they hired a long-time third party vendor they use, that vendor employed the shooter.
Pinkerton does bear responsibility for hiring a vendor that hires unlicensed security officers.

The way I read the above is that the dead guy was hired by the TV station as a security guard. But the dead guy was unlicensed so the TV station could be prosecuted.
If that’s not right it’s not well written.

It is the most poorly written article I have read in a long time. The shooter was hired by channel 9. The victim was attending a pro police rally which was just finishing and they were in the process of leaving when a group went to them instigating a confrontational. The victim walked up to the shooter and the shooter attempted to take his firearm which was holstered. The victim slapped the guy knocking off his hat and began to retreat. The shooter than pull out his firearm, the victim who was holding mace lifted it up,then was shot in the face.

Just piss poor writing that is standard in journalism today. The writer said “he” without clearly indicating to whom the “he” applied. The unclear/misleading writing may have been intentional, IMHO.
They are wrong although you are correct in that they misidentifying the murder.
Yes and the photographer was in on it and knew exactly where to stand. She will flip state's evidence first.
The second guy that will flip is the "professional agitator" in the dun-colored jeans -- the one who looks like Che married a goat. He was arrested about 30 feet away from the altercation after having conferred with the 9News crew and then stirring up the Patriots.

On the Peter Boyles’ radio show this morning it was reported that 9news has hired off duty Denver cops to guard them. Be a shame if anything happened to them or their building.
No one local has pointed out the very relevant fact that the guy this so-called guard was there to protect was never in the fight and never in any danger.
I was not aware of the Pinkerton + 3rd party information. If that can be shown in court, then yes, there is some liability that would befall Pinkerton.
And certainly civil liability through the roof. The victim’s family will own the station.
