A British ist thinks he has found the childhood home of Jesus in Nazareth.

Ken Dark began surveying the site about 14 years ago when he was studying the Israeli town’s history as a Byzantine Christian pilgrimage center, the Jerusalem Post reported.

I personally doubt that anything like the home of Christ can be found, although nothing is impossible.

Christ was a tradesman, before His calling. He wasn’t anybody notable. before His calling, so there would be no reason for anybody to preserve his home when it was no longer in use. People routinely built on top of ruined homes to make use of the land.

If it is in the City where Jesus lived, I guess it could be his home. But it could be Ahabs home too. Or Thomas the Coppersmyth.

Of course the might have found graffiti that said, “Joesph, you are NOT the father...”

I guess it’s conceivably possible, but the article itself has him admitting that he “can’t be 100% sure”. The identification of the site as Jesus’s childhood home is speculation.

After all; there are a finite number of old houses and ruins to dig up; so one of them HAS TO BE THE RIGHT ONE.
