Ohio Public School District Spends $134,000 In Legal Fees On Permits For ‘Gender-Neutral’ Bathrooms

A public school district in the suburbs of Columbus, Ohio, has spent more than $134,000 in legal fees to obtain a permit to install only gender-neutral bathrooms in six of its new facilities, in violation of state code.

In the fall of 2017, the Upper Arlington School District successfully passed a $230 million tax to rebuild five elementary schools and Upper Arlington High School. Construction on the high school and four of the elementary schools began in 2019.

For those who aren't from Ohio, Upper Arlington is a liberal city within the Columbus metropolitan area. It appears that even though this is a liberal area, the school board hid the idea of "gender neutral" bathrooms from the parents. Of course a local (Demoncrat, elected) Judge approved this, even though state law forbids it.

That's what my conservative town is starting to do - as religious/private and home schooling coalitions pop up everywhere. One bragged in the adverts that they'd tripled in enrollment in the past year.

The beast needs to be starved, the government won't do it, they support, encourage and heavily fund all manner of deviancy in the schools.

U.A. is a wealthy older suburb of Columbus. It is very close to the Ohio States campus so there are many professors, high end admins etc that live there as well as attorneys.

When I drove through there before the election, Biden signs were all over the place.

I get the opposition to males using female restrooms (and the opposite). But $134,000 in legal fees? $230 million on school buildings? I am willing to bet that the children will not be better educated after all the money is spent. Point being: stop this crap on multiple fronts, with one front being wasting money on things that have no return.

Anyways, and I ask this because I am ignorant on the issue, what is so special about a gender neutral restroom? I have one in my home, although it doesn't have a placard indicating it is gender neutral.

The public restrooms are intended, as conceived by Progs and transverts, as a place of affirmation and mingling.

They are being thwarted somewhat by single occupancy restrooms.

That kind of growth tends to bring its own problems. I hope it goes well, but history shows that when growth rates are high that standards for teachers and administrators are compromised, often fatally.

These are not one-person restrooms, these are general use areas - so the 10-year-old girl uses the same washroom as the 10-year-old boy. Yes the stalls are separate, but the idea is that this way everyone is "equal" (as in equity, not equality). This could work well for a professional office (don't know for sure), but I don't think it will work well for children and adolescents.

It is all one with the Transgender movement.
