Right on all counts.
It seems that most Americans are unaware that their President is both Head of State (in effect, the symbol of the nation), and Head of Government (just another politician). Your post bears repeating or rereading.
As for Trump, or Biden walking in front of the Queen (who also happens to be Canada’s Head of State) — that’s more complicated than the media makes it out to be. It wasn’t (necessarily) a grande faux pas, when Trump did it; and it wasn’t any less important when Biden did it. If Trump or Biden were merely Heads of Government, it would have been absolutely wrong. However, as both the US President and the Queen are Heads of State, they have equal rank. That said, the G7 members are guests of the Queen — her house, her rules.
