Our county (Howard County, Maryland) was apparently calling a number of parents (whose kids normally ride the school buses) saying they’re going to have to arrange transportation for their kids because of bus driver shortage. There was already a driver shortage but this was an increment in the shortages.
My speculation is that some of the drivers are doing “sick-ins” to protest COVID-19 vaccine mandates.

Or, it could be just another manifestation of the Biden administrations incentives not to work.

No, I mean like LA County is a cesspool of leftist ideology that offers absolutely no redeeming value whatsoever. The city is filled with radical collectivists who get what they voted for and deserve. I say that as someone who lived there for more than 10 years.
I’m sorry that you think all of LA is Venice beach and that you think democrats never cheat at elections, but the people of rolling hills, palos verdes, lomita, torrance, Redondo, hermosa, Manhattan, Pasadena, Lawndale, gardena, Hawthorne, san marino, el Segundo, chinatown, playa del rey and marina del rey hate Newsom and the vaccine mandates
The entire county is a Bolshevik sewer with a smattering of conservatives who are either living large or groveling under the yoke of leftist oppression. I feel for them, I really do. The middle class republicans who were common there at one time have either died or moved. The school system churns out red book waving Marxists without any opposition. The place went to hell a long time ago, which is unfortunate because it wasn't all that long ago that it was a pretty wonderful place to live.
