From this article's hysterical tone it is easy to see that this is a valuable case and we ought to continue following it closely. Also it shows why Biden wants to keep up the illegal harassment of the justices: he wants to terrorize them into complete submission. If the Republicans regain control of the House and, hopefully, the Senate, one of the first projects on their list should be to impeach Biden for a host of crimes and misdemeanors and also to impeach Garland because of his deliberate failure or refusal to enforce the law that prohibits harassment of Supreme Court justices, jurors and low lower court judges.

What they mean is SCOTUS could actually enforce the elections clause of the US Constitution.

A “dangerous misinterpretation” of the plain language of the Constitution.

“giving partisan majorities near-total control over how voters cast ballots and how those ballots are counted.”
So just like Cook County IL, then.
Got it.
Thanks.

Yes, this is something like the 4th or 5th article ALREADY on a case that won’t come up for a month or so.
That’s ok. As with the EPA case, which got buried in Dobbs, let them focus on this while the Affirmative Action case ends that horrid policy.

The conflict is due to the left’s construal of voting rights which are really political rights, as human rights, which opens the door to all sort of leftwing malfeasance. As we have already seen.

5-4 is not a “super majority”. The author mistakenly believes Robert’s is a conservative.

......giving partisan majorities near-total control Sure. They have no problem with Democrat majorities in states - only in those states they call "Evil MAGA."
They can take their hysterics, their histrionics and simpering complaints elsewhere.

Where’s the 2/3’rds majority in the Senate for conviction going to come from? Impeachment is not removal! Removal takes a Senate trial and a 2/3’rds majority vote. Thanks to the Rats use of impeachment for frivolous political disagreements its now equivalent to a note home to your mother that you were bad. Impeachment alone is just bad political theater and will be seen as such.

And another project should be to increase the security of Supreme Court justices 10 fold if necessary to ensure they can eat dinner in public or whatever else they want to do. And enforce the laws already on the books.

and well in advance of the 2024 presidential election, the Court could strip state courts and state constitutions of their ability to check and balance state legislators when they make laws for federal elections Wolf doesn't seem to get it. He/we have no Constitutional right to vote for the president. The Constitution gives the state legislatures the power to determine how their state's presidential electors will be chosen.
Currently, all states have elections where that state's voters can vote on their preference from President, but they can change that if they like.

I have to keep pointing out to people that Americans do not even have a right to vote for President: the state legislatures could pick the electors themselves, assig them by lottery. They could also conceivably overrule a state election. My favorite would be to assign the slate of electors based on a majority of counties, nullifying the disproportionate role of corrupt big cities.
It took amendments to make Senators popularly elected and to give women the vote, so no amount of "substantive due process" legerdemain can legitimately undo the state legislature's control of Federal elections absent direct evidence of discriminatory intent.

Before next summer, and well in advance of the 2024 presidential election, the Court could strip state courts and state constitutions of their ability to check and balance state legislators when they make laws for federal elections, giving partisan majorities near-total control over how voters cast ballots and how those ballots are counted. So on this issue the Progressives want to "subvert democracy" and get all "constitutional" on the rest of us (Conservatives)?

The left keeps whining about "DEMOCRACY," i.e. popular vote on everything, with no checks from the states. Just what the Founders warned against, and why they formed a REPUBLIC with representative government. Democratic voting is only part of our system.
