Don't they mean, "There is a saying in Arkansas ..."?
And isn't California now at the bottom of a lot of those lists?
Mississippi’s 38% black population ranks it #1 in the nation of African-American population by percentage.
I’m all about freedom. And if you want to restrict a freedom to do something, you’d better have not just a reason, but a very good reason. I don’t see that here.
I’ve lived in Mississippi. I’d live there a thousand times before any shithole “blue” state.
Given the present government in DC, I’d say being LAST in every measurement is a BADGE OF HONOR.
In all fairness they moved from 50th to 38th in education. New Mexico is firmly in 50th with no plan other than throwing money at what doesn’t work.
Well, this electrical engineer loves the idea of electric cars. However, given the totally inadequate and reliable generating capability (minus reliable energy such as nuclear, gas, and petrol), grid capacity, total inadequacy in battery production/endurance/recycling, car costs, not even starting to get our charging infrastructure constructed, lost resale value (when the battery goes, the rest of the car is worthless), and more, ...well...I’ll continue to take a “by”, not “buy” on the electric toys.
If signed they’ll be #1 in my book.... At least in the Non-EV market.
If being last keeps the liberals out, I’m happy to remain in last place!
‘There is a saying used in the US: “Thank God for Mississippi.” ‘
Really> I’ve never heard anyone say that.
I really like MS. We’ve taken these massive road trips over the years covering most of the continental US. We took a little convertible and would drive where ever the wind blew us. We both feel the most free in Mississippi. We have some little anecdotal things like just pulling onto the beach to eat something, one can’t do that on most of the US coastline. In general, minimal LEO, minimal postings, warnings, EPA ad infinitum. We also went to some wild places-one was called something like Yo Momma’s Basement? This place and others like it would never be licensed in 48 states.
Bottomline, it is so free in Mississippi that it is hard not to feel it.
Just spent two weeks in Mississippi visiting kids and grandkids. We went to a place called The Shed that served a BBQ that I have always thought others should taste like. Number one in that category.
Never heard of Electrek, however if their writing of all their articles is this bad, then I won’t read it if it came free.
Mississippi is behind because of 112 years of democrat party control. Republicans have controlled the state for about 11 years. Takes a while to fix the mess democrats create. There is also the huge dependent demographic and influx of illegals.
Last place in anything liberal is GREAT.
Kalifornia is 1st place in all thing liberal.
