A black director of a “woke” California college’s Office of Equity, Social Justice and Multicultural Education claims she was fired for questioning the institution’s anti-racism “orthodoxy” and what the term “anti-racism” even means.
Dr. Tabia Lee said De Anza College, a community college in Cupertino, retaliated after she objected to several campus policies aimed at inclusion.
“I was working in a California community college, and I noticed that there was a lot of resistance to my even asking questions about anti-racism, policy efforts and language,” Lee told nonprofit Foundation Against Intolerance and Racism.

I am old school and still think that if I cannot swap out the target inclusion or exclusion group, that it is biased. For example, how can Black Student Union be oka if White Student Union is not?
It’s such a stupid idea that the definition has to be nebulous. Just take the money and harass some white folks now and then.
She did not have enough melatonin to protect herself.
“and I noticed that there was a lot of resistance to my even asking questions “

That is because they don’t have real answers to logical questions. That is what censorship is about.
At its core, wokeness is about wanting the power to burn perceived enemies at the stake, on whim.
As such, it cannot tolerate objective standards.
>>She told Higher Ed she was canned after declining to join a “socialist network,”<<
The real reason for the dismissal.
According to the “woke”, logic and rational thought are white supremist concepts, aren’t they?
I think you mean melanin, the stuff in your skin that determines how dark it is.
When I was growing up my dream job was director of an Office of Equity, Social Justice and Multicultural Education. Unfortunately, my abilities are limited. My intelligence is low and my expectations were not appropriate. I had to lower myself and settle with being a software engineer and business owner among other petty pursuits. To this day I am crushed.
Lol j/k
She lived in the Soviet Union and didn’t know it till it hit her on the ass.
These policies are a big waste of time. How about teaching?
A two year institution where rich white folks hide out until they can get their grades up enough to go to a four year college
To be fair there are many working adults who attend night school because it is inexpensive. In math and science you can still get a good education
I feel your pain. 😀
I’m going to seek reparations.
There is a link to her sub stack article in the NY Post piece. She’s got an EdD degree so, like most “social scientists”, she writes her essay like it’s some kind of scientific treatise. Meaning it’s it’s overly pedantic and loaded with jargon.
You could boil it down to a few sentences but basically she’s saying the new racists are running the asylum. It’s a hopeful sign. I also perused some of the other articles and sub stacks that hosted her article. The general theme of the few other articles I read revolved around seeing the individual over the group identity. That’s an even more hopeful sign.
Perhaps the pendulum is beginning to swing back. The racist DEI radicals are firmly entrenched and have the full power of government, industry, academia and media on their side. They have done a great deal of damage but when even your average community college “DEI professionals” are starting to wake up see it, well, there may be hope after all.
Aha! Another fascist outs himself! (/sarc)
